In the vast landscape of philosophy and mathematics, one concept stands out as both enigmatic and fundamental: existence. It’s the crux upon which reality turns, yet it’s incredibly difficult to pin down. We’ve been exploring this idea through Universal Language research.

A Point in Universal Language is not just a mathematical abstraction; it’s the minimal, irreducible foundation of all existence. In philosophical terms, it mirrors concepts like Heidegger’s Dasein — Being-there, the fundamental act of existing in a particular position — and Parmenides’ absolute binary: ‘that which is, is; that which is not, is not’. It reflects the mathematical truth that Existence (like Point) is minimal and irreducible.

We’ve argued that alternative primitive sets for Points aren’t competing bases, but generating sets for one structure. This means their differing cardinalities don’t tell us anything about the object itself.
