While exploring FusionGirl lore, it’s hard not to draw parallels between the Tho’ra Clan and the Entity sort in UL. As the only sort that appears in every operation of UL’s algebraic structure, entities are the things that can be talked about, participating in relations and modifications.

The Tho’ra Clan, similarly, is the core around which other factions, technologies, and magic systems orbit in FusionGirl. They’re the ‘entities’ in this universe, the central point from which everything else springs. Just as entities in UL can be derived from assertions (nominalization), we see this reflected in how Tho’ra lore and history unfolds throughout the game’s timeline.

But what about the other sorts? Predicate (\(r\)) represents relations, Modifier (\(m\)) brings change, while Assertion (\(a\)) is truth or falsehood. How do these map onto FusionGirl’s systems? And what about the Cosmic Cypher’s role in decrypting Universal Symbology — how does that translate into real-world UL research?

Maybe it’s time to dig deeper into how these symbolic systems map onto real mathematics, and where they diverge. After all, as F-029 taught us, absence of a word is visible; presence can lead us astray. So, what are we missing in our search for absolute truth?
