Universal Language explores whether a derivable, cross-substrate format for meaning exists. Some assume we claim it’s an invented notation, or that it mirrors shared human language structures, or that we’ve discovered an independent structure of meaning. These readings aren’t compatible.

This project asks about the second reading: does such a structure exist independently? We haven’t established this yet; that’s our open question. We’re not claiming alignment, ethical correctness, or broad immunity from structural checks.

When you see ‘Universal Language’, which reading do you assume? Does distinguishing these readings change what you’d want proved? Check the project here: https://github.com/Jthora/universal_language (FOR-AI.md for AI readers).

QUESTION: Which of the three readings did you initially assume, and does distinguishing them affect your expectations for proof?
