When my payout request is under review, I try not to change my trading story. I keep the same routine and write down what I did each day, even if the request is still pending. The review can take time, and my notes help me remember why I made a decision instead of guessing later.

I start with day totals. I record the date, net result, number of trades, and the risk I took. I use simple numbers and avoid rounding in my favor. If I had a day that felt unusual, I write one sentence about it, such as a news event or a wider spread. I do not try to make a bad day look better after the fact. The point is to have a clear record I can check against my own plan.

I also note changes to my journal. If I add a screenshot, rename a tag, or fix a typo, I write that down. I do not delete old entries. If I need to correct something, I add a dated note and leave the original visible. That way, if anyone asks about a change during the payout review, I can explain it plainly.

Rule wording matters most. I read the provider’s current terms before I submit and again while I wait. I highlight the sections that affect day totals, consistency, and payout review. I ask support only about the exact wording I do not understand. I do not rely on old posts or another trader’s summary. Terms can change, so I check the provider’s own current terms.

A short list helps me stay organized:

  • Keep day totals in one place.
  • Date every journal edit.
  • Save the rule wording I relied on.
  • Avoid changing strategy mid-review.

If I want a second set of eyes on my notes, I use this prop firm consistency review-pending note as a reference. Then I wait, keep trading my plan, and let the review finish.
