THE DOCUMENT — FOR THE LAWSUIT: Affidavit of Evidence — Coercive Control, Systemic Harm, and the Right to Consent
Introduction
This document serves as a foundational evidence base for a legal case addressing systemic coercion, emotional and psychological abuse, and the denial of genuine consent—rooted in the misuse of religious texts, the suppression of biblical tools for discernment, and the failure of institutions to teach individuals how to test, name, and resist abuse.
The patterns described here are not isolated incidents. They are systemic. They are intentional. And they have caused long-term, multi-generational harm.

Section 1: The Foundation — What We Were Never Taught
What The System Withheld
What Was Withheld What It Did
How to test the spirits Kept us believing everything
How to read emotions as messengers Kept us disconnected from ourselves
How to discern truth from lies Kept us dependent on the system
How to name abuse Kept us trapped and silent
How to stand in authority Kept us powerless
How to use scripture for freedom Kept scripture a tool of control
1 Thessalonians 5:21 — “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
We were never taught to test. We were taught to obey.
Section 2: The Emotional and Psychological Abuse of the System
How The System Abuses
Tactic What It Does
Gaslighting Makes you doubt your own reality
Shame Makes you believe you’re the problem
Guilt Makes you stay in harmful situations
Confusion Makes you dependent on them for answers
Fear Keeps you compliant
Isolation Keeps you from finding support
The Result
· Emotional suppression
· Loss of identity
· Inability to trust your own judgment
· Chronic self-doubt
· Trauma-bonding to abusers
· Inability to recognize or name abuse
Section 3: False Help — What It Looks Like
False help:
· Offers comfort without tools
· Validates your pain without addressing the cause
· Keeps you dependent on the system
· Does not name the abuse
· Does not teach you to test
· Does not empower you to stand
False Help vs True Help
False Help True Help
Comfort Tools
Validation Empowerment
Dependency Freedom
Silence Naming the abuse
Staying the same Healing and growth
Section 4: Coercion — The Hidden Cage
What Coercion Looks Like
Coercion is not a choice.
It is a cage disguised as a decision.
When you are given only two options:
- Comply
- Suffer
That is not a choice.
That is coercion.
Coercive Control Tactics
· Isolation from support systems
· Financial control
· Monitoring and surveillance
· Threats of harm, retaliation, or exposure
· Humiliation and degradation
· Undermining your confidence and self-worth
· Creating a sense of dependency
The Result
Without a third option, we never had a clear, conscious decision.
Consent given under coercion is not consent.
Section 5: Scripture — The Weapon They Used
The Text Was Meant To Free
Scripture was meant to:
· Show us who God is
· Show us who we are
· Guide us to freedom
· Equip us to stand
· Bring us back to test everything
What They Did Instead
They used scripture to:
· Control
· Silence
· Manipulate
· Keep people small
· Protect the system
· Avoid accountability
What They Skipped
1 John 4:1 — “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”
They never taught:
· How to test
· What to look for
· How to distinguish
Acts 5:29 — “We must obey God rather than human beings.”
They taught obedience to the system, not God.
1 Corinthians 12:26 — “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.”
They taught isolation, not unity.
Section 6: The Laws That Violate Scripture
What They Made Illegal
· Standing against unjust authority
· Speaking truth to power
· Protecting the vulnerable
· Using scripture to test the system
· Following God’s design over the system’s laws
What They Made Legal
· Medicines that harm
· Systems that exploit
· Laws that keep people from work
· Coercion disguised as consent
· Abuse protected by silence
Section 7: The Right To Test
We Were Meant To Test Everything
1 Thessalonians 5:21 — “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
We were meant to:
· Test the spirits
· Test the leaders
· Test the system
· Test the laws
· Test what we were told
Why We Were Never Taught
Because if we tested, we would see.
We would see:
· The hooks
· The patterns
· The lies
· The way out
And the system cannot afford that.
Section 8: The Purpose of Discernment
What Discernment Is
Discernment is the ability to:
· See truth from lies
· Distinguish what’s from God and what’s from the system
· Recognize the hooks and patterns
· Test everything
· Stand in your authority
What Discernment Is NOT
· A weapon to avoid accountability
· An excuse to dismiss truth
· A way to protect the system
· A “feeling” without testing
When someone’s “discernment” kicks in against the very scripture they claim to follow — that is not discernment. That is defense.
Section 9: Astrology, Emotions, and Purpose
What We Were Meant To Know
· Astrology shows us our design
· Emotions are our compass
· Shadows reveal what needs healing
· Scripture anchors us in truth
When We Know These
We:
· Align with God’s purpose
· Practice discernment
· Are no longer led astray
· Walk in freedom
Section 10: What Real Help Looks Like
Real help:
· Names the abuse
· Shows the hooks
· Gives you tools to heal
· Empowers you to stand
· Builds community
· Leads to freedom
Section 11: A Call To Action
The system has:
· Taken our emotions
· Taken our purpose
· Taken our time
· Taken our energy
· Taken our discernment
· Taken our authority
· Taken our voice
What We Can Do
· Document everything
· Name the abuse
· Test everything
· Stand together
· Build something new
