Google announces Gemini 3.6 Flash and cybersecurity AI, teases 3.5 Pro and Gemini 4

Google has released Gemini 3.6 Flash, an updated and more efficient version of its previous model, alongside Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite and a specialized cybersecurity AI model, Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber. The flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro is still delayed, with Google stating it’s undergoing testing and will be released when ready, while also confirming pre-training has begun for the next generation, Gemini 4.

• Google introduced Gemini 3.6 Flash, an upgrade from 3.5 Flash, offering improved coding, multimodal features, and greater efficiency.
• New models Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite (highly efficient) and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber (for cybersecurity) have also been released.
• Gemini 3.5 Pro, previously expected in June, is still in testing with partners and has no set release date.
• Google has begun pre-training for the next major AI generation, Gemini 4.
• Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber is being piloted internally and with select partners due to its dual-use nature.
