FBI RAIDS 'Quality Learing Center' and nearly 2 dozen more in Minnesota FRAUD investigation

Nearly two dozen Minnesota day-care centers and other locations were raided Tuesday in a federal investigation into alleged fraud by members of the Somali community. Dozens of people have already been arrested in the fraud investigations prior to the raids, and some officials estimate the scale of the illegal schemes to be in the billions. 'We are pleased to see the state’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and our federal partners taking strong action based on information we have shared with them.' Among those raided was the infamous "Quality Learing Center" on Nicollet Avenue, which was mocked online for misspelling "learning" in its business sign. Also raided were five centers for the treatment of autism. "Today the FBI with federal, state, and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation," read a statement from Homeland Security Investigations. Other places raided included the Fahiye Child Care Center on Jackson Street, Baby Halimo Child Care Inc. on Cedar Avenue, and A Plus Universal Child Care and Learning Center on Shakopee Town Square. Some of the scams involved the Feeding Our Future nonprofit that swallowed up millions of dollars in pandemic emergency relief funding but lied about supplying meals to hungry families and children. Sixty-five people have already been convicted in the FOF scam. The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families, which is responsible for licensing day-care centers, applauded the raids in a statement. "We are pleased to see the state’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and our federal partners taking strong action based on information we have shared with them," the organization said. "We will continue sharing information with law enforcement to ensure they are able to conduct thorough criminal investigations." RELATED: Founder of Minneapolis autism center admits to kickbacks to Somali families in $6M scam The fraud scandal has already severely damaged the political career of Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz, who was accused of obstructing fraud investigations. Walz denied the allegations but dropped his campaign for re-election to a third term. "Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can't spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences," Walz said in early January. "So I've decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while I focus on the work." Like Blaze News? James Comey INDICTED amid assassination attempt against Trump over apparently threatening social media post

Former FBI Director James Comey has once again been indicted by the Department of Justice, this time for an infamous social media post that appeared to threaten President Donald Trump. Comey posted a photo to his Instagram last May showing seashells on a beach writing the numbers "8647," with the now-deleted post captioned, "Cool shell formation on my beach walk.” The phrase "86" in slang commonly refers to getting rid of something, and the number "47" is assumed to be a reference to Trump, who is the 47th president of the United States.'This indictment comes just days after a crazed gunman attempted to assassinate Trump.'The basis of this second indictment is that the post could be considered a threat to kill Trump, a threat that Comey has repeatedly denied. “It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down,” Comey said after deleting the post.RELATED: Stunning new details reveal the 'depraved' motivation of the suspected WHCD shooter Dia Dipasupil/Getty ImagesThis indictment comes just days after a crazed gunman attempted to assassinate Trump, rushing through a security checkpoint in the lobby of the Washington Hilton, where the president, several Cabinet members, and hundreds of attendees were seated at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, allegedly opened fire and struck a Secret Serviceman wearing a bulletproof vest before being quickly subdued and apprehended. A manifesto was later made public detailing Allen's alleged political motivations to kill Trump and members of his Cabinet. In light of the third serious assassination attempt against Trump, the DOJ has indicted Comey for the second time. Comey was first indicted in September for making false statements to Congress and for obstruction of a congressional proceeding. The indictment was later dismissed and is no longer active. The latest would-be Trump assassin answered the leftist call to violence

This isn’t the first time someone tried to assassinate President Trump. In the seven months since Charlie Kirk was gunned down, the violent rhetoric from the left has only gotten worse.I resigned from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office after Kirk’s murder in order to warn the public about the violent consequences of the inflammatory rhetoric promoted by Democrats and amplified by the media. Before almost every prior assassination attempt, that same toxic rhetoric was deployed. After almost every attempt, Democrat leaders and media figures issued predictable calls for calm and unity. Yet shortly thereafter, the rhetoric resumed, and another attempt followed. One of them succeeded. The pattern has become so predictable that wild conspiracy theories about 'false flag' operations are now proliferating. The public has largely forgotten the earliest attempts on Trump’s life. On June 18, 2016, Michael Steven Sandford tried to grab a police officer’s pistol during a Trump speech at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in order to shoot him. On September 6, 2017, Gregory Lee Leingang stole a forklift from an oil refinery and tried to ram Trump’s motorcade. In both cases, the attempts were preceded by heated rhetoric. Former Democrat presidential candidate and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley labeled Trump a "fascist demagogue." After the Charlottesville incident, allegedly partially funded by the SPLC, MSNBC commentator Nicolle Wallace stated that Trump was giving "safe harbor to Nazis" and "white supremacists."These early failures did not deter the pattern. The rhetoric continued, and more attempts followed. In July 2019, New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker stated that Trump was "worse than a racist" and compared Trump to noted segregationist Democrat George Wallace. On September 1, 2022, in his Philadelphia “Soul of the Nation” speech, Joe Biden declared that "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic." Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa stated that Trump “channeled his role models as he parroted Adolf Hitler.”Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) consistently paints Trump as a fascist and a threat to democracy. In November 2023, Washington Post columnist Robert Kagan wrote that “a Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable.” “With each passing day, it will become harder and more dangerous to stop it by any means, legal or illegal.”After this unrelenting barrage, with Trump and conservatives being branded as racists, fascists, and existential threats to democracy, Thomas Matthew Crooks fired shots at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024. The shooting grazed Trump’s ear and killed firefighter Corey Comperatore.Democrats responded with familiar calls to lower the temperature and some easy condemnations of political violence, but actions speak louder than words.A New Jersey columnist continued to label Trump a “fascist threat to democracy” only eight days after the assassination attempt. On September 15, 2024, Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested while hiding in the bushes with a rifle near the course where Trump was golfing. The rhetoric only intensified. On October 23, 2024, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris agreed that Trump is a fascist, and she repeated the widely discredited statements of John Kelly that Trump praised Hitler. Media outlets continued to praise and encourage the dangerous and biased labels. The labeling of Trump and conservatives as Hitler and Nazis and the comparison of ICE to the Gestapo are numerous and easy to find.RELATED: The collapse of conservatism nobody wants to admit Blaze Media IllustrationOn September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University. Once again came the public statements condemning political violence and calling for unity. But the rhetoric did not subside.Within two weeks of his death, columnists repeated the lie that Kirk was a white supremacist promoting racist, anti-immigrant, transphobic violence and criticized anyone for mourning or honoring him.Within a month of his death, Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) called Kirk’s views "vile."Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) called Trump a “wannabe Hitler.” Kamala Harris called Trump a "tyrant" and compared him to a "communist dictator." Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) claimed Trump was an existential threat requiring vigilance against "totalitarian" moves.Less than 10 days ago, that dangerous rhetoric was repeated by Camden County Commissioner Louis Cappelli Jr., who publicly labeled Trump a "cult leader and traitor."Saturday, another individual attempted to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The pattern has become so predictable that wild conspiracy theories about “false flag” operations are now proliferating. This confusion makes confronting the real problem harder. The cycle will not stop until more Americans — regardless of party — call out the poisonous rhetoric and insist on debating ideas, not demonizing opponents as enemies who must be stopped by any means.Political violence has no place in America. Words have consequences. It’s time to choose debate over demonization before more innocent lives are lost.

Tesla Unveils Its Driverless Future — But You're Only Invited If You Comply With These Rules

Tesla is banking on travelers wanting to hang out with themselves rather than an Uber driver. The company announced that its Texas production facility, known as Gigafactory Texas, is ready to start preparing for a world without drivers.'A personalized driverless experience.'Elon Musk's company is diving further into the autonomous auto sector by not only ramping up its production of driverless vehicles, but by pairing specific vehicles with its taxi app that will compete with existing services like Waymo and GM's Cruise."Purpose-built for autonomy," Tesla wrote on X, promoting its new line called Cybercab. The vehicles are a new production of a battery-electric Tesla with neither steering wheels nor pedals available inside the car.It was first shown off in 2024 and boasted futuristic wireless charging capabilities, with a rumored target range of 200 miles per charge.RELATED: 5 cars from the 2026 New York International Auto Show you might actually want to buy Cybercab will be combined with Tesla's existing Robotaxi app — launched in 2025 — to create "a personalized driverless experience."Currently, the rides are offered on Tesla Model Y cars, but Tesla expects its new autonomous rides to target customers who grow tired of their human experiences. In this sense, Tesla notes how their rides differ from some of the most annoying parts of riding in someone else's car.Heating and cooling settings are saved in the passenger's profile in the app, which means vehicles will automatically adjust to their settings across different rides. Other features target the aggravation of having to hear another person's music selection, as the Robotaxi allows riders to stream their own. There are some limitations though. For example, children under 8 years old, which of course includes infants, are not permitted to ride in the taxis. Guests between 8 and 17 years old are permitted in the cars, but minors cannot ride in the vehicle alone, per Robotaxi Rider Rules.Riders must also adhere to applicable laws regarding small children, meaning a child safety seat may be required (provided by the customer) to bring them along.Pets are also not permitted unless they are service animals.RELATED: Anti-Trump Indian investor wants you to use this hat that reads your thoughts SUZANNE CORDEIRO/AFP/Getty Images Only three passengers at a combined weight of 800 pounds may ride in the vehicle at one time, and no one can sit in the front seat, Tesla says. 'Enough is enough': Melania Trump demands ABC 'take a stand' against 'coward' Jimmy Kimmel

First lady Melania Trump came out swinging against late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel after the latest assassination attempt against her husband. Kimmel was heavily criticized online after making a joke on Thursday that implied that President Donald Trump might die soon and leave the first lady a widow. 'Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand.' On Monday, the first lady fired back. "Kimmel's hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn't comedy — his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America," she wrote in a statement on social media. "People like Kimmel shouldn't have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him," she added. "Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand," she concluded. "How many times will ABC's leadership enable Kimmel's atrocious behavior at the expense of our community." Kimmel made the joke during a mock White House Correspondents' Dinner sketch where he addressed the first lady. "Our first lady, Melania, is here. Look at her, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow!" Kimmel said. Kimmel was previously suspended from his own show after he implied that the suspect who allegedly shot and killed Charlie Kirk was a Trump supporter. He was reinstated after only a few days. RELATED: WHCD attendees caught snatching wine bottles off tables amid chaos in aftermath of shooting The first lady was at the White House Correspondents' Dinner when shots rang out and attendees were evacuated from the building. The comments against Kimmel were her first about the shooting. President Donald Trump told reporters it was a "rather traumatic experience" for the first lady. "I don't want to say, and people don't like having it said that they were scared, but certainly, I mean, who wouldn't be when you have a situation like that?" he said to CBS News. Like Blaze News? Kash Patel Grilled Over Security Failures Following Third Assassination Attempt Against Trump

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing some tough questions in the aftermath of yet another assassination attempt against President Donald Trump.Trump and members of his Cabinet were targeted Saturday night at the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner after a gunman rushed past a security checkpoint and opened fire in the Washington Hilton lobby. The suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, was staying at the hotel and was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. 'It was a total failure.'Before he was apprehended and taken into custody, the gunman shot a Secret Serviceman who was wearing a bulletproof vest.Allen's alleged manifesto was later made public, revealing anti-Trump and anti-Christian motivations that may have fueled the attack.Although the Secret Service successfully stopped the third assassination attempt, several questions remain about the efficacy of the security measures in place since the shooter was able to get that far. RELATED: Stunning new details reveal the 'depraved' motivation of the suspected WHCD shooter US President Trump via Truth Social/Anadolu/Getty Images"They did a great job on the ground," "Fox & Friends" host Lawrence Jones said of the Secret Service. "But they remain reactive. The proactive approach is still under great scrutiny. The president of the United States is averaging an assassination attempt once a year.""So who’s going to do the investigating of the procedures?" Jones asked Patel. "Secret Service can’t investigate themselves because there are still people in leadership at the Secret Service that were responsible for Butler. How does that happen? It was a failure."Patel acknowledged the failures that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, but deferred to the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Markwayne Mullin's leadership. Patel did not detail which procedures or protocols would be improved or changed but indicated that some sort of reform would take place. "I can’t speak to Butler, and I agree it was a total failure. Absolutely," Patel responded. "But I have full confidence in Secretary Markwayne Mullin. He oversees the United States Secret Service. I've talked to him repeatedly over the weekend ... and said, 'Whatever you need from the FBI, whatever we can assist in, and however we can better prepare to protect our protectees going forward, with the U.S. Secret Service, this FBI stands ready to do.' And we’re going to improve that process under Markwayne’s leadership and oversight of the Secret Service."RELATED: Trump evacuated from White House Correspondents' Dinner following possible gunfire Celal Gunes/Anadolu/Getty Images Patel was also pressed about the suspect's proximity to the event. He had checked into the Washington Hilton the day before. Although the Hilton hosts the dinner, only a portion of the hotel is secured despite the dozens of dignitaries in attendance. "This was a matter that needs to be heavily scrutinized, because it almost took the lives of dozens if not hundreds of people," Patel said."We're going to be talking about how we improve the security, not just for this event but for all events going forward," Patel added. "We’re going to learn from this one, and we’re going to utilize President Trump’s leadership and backing of the blue and law enforcement and work with DHS to ensure our Cabinet, our protectees, and the American civilian population is as best protected as possible.”Like Blaze News? The Robertsons reveal the biggest mistake Christians make when sharing their testimonies

Sharing one’s testimony of faith feels intimidating for a lot of people. Many Christians, churches, and discipleship programs get their guidelines from the apostle Paul’s testimony in Acts 26 when he stood before King Agrippa and shared his coming-to-faith story — starting with his former life, moving to his encounter with Jesus, and concluding with his decision to repent and follow Christ. While Acts 26 is one of the most commonly used biblical models for creating personal testimony templates in Christian discipleship, Jase Robertson says that people are overcomplicating what should be a simple task.“There’s one point,” he says, that a testimony hinges on: We give our lives up because He gave his life up for us. A testimony, Jase says, “should be 99.9% about what He did, and your 0.1% is, I gave my life to Him.”“Your testimony is, you’re going to point to Jesus and say, ‘You want to define love? You want to define how my life turned around? It all started with God becoming a human and giving up His life,’” he says.Al agrees and says that too many people when sharing their testimonies overfocus on the bad things they did before they knew Christ, but “those things don’t matter” in light of the redemption Christ freely offers.“The good part of the testimony is: I finally relented. I finally submitted,” he says. This submission, Al argues, shouldn’t be just the focus of our testimonies; it should be the focus of the entire Christian walk. He points to the marriage passage in Ephesians 5:21, which instructs married couples to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”“That’s the idea,” Al says. “It’s the giving up of yourself, and it’s not just for marriage, but of course, it’s for everything.”To hear more, watch the episode above.Want more from the Robertsons? To enjoy more on God, guns, ducks, and inspiring stories of faith and family, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

The GOP Can’t Win by Playing Prevent Defense

This week, the NFL Draft descends on Pittsburgh. For many fans, Draft Day is the most hopeful day of the year — a chance to believe one rookie or well-timed trade will finally deliver the championship that always seems just out of reach. It’s also a time for the age-old debate between building your offense or your defense.Political parties face the same pressure. Hall of Fame coach Bear Bryant put it bluntly: “Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships.” But Republican leaders have too often misinterpreted that maxim and taken it to its extreme, seeking to minimize risk at the expense of boldly pursuing wins.If the GOP wants to be remembered for something more than last year’s highlight reel, the party should deliver more wins through budget reconciliation by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. For example, imagine your favorite team coming out after kickoff and immediately dropping into a prevent defense. You’d be furious. That scheme is for closing out a lead when time is on your side, not for playing an entire game. Deployed prematurely, it surrenders easy, incremental yards and hands the opponent the initiative. This is why Republicans must get off their back foot and go on offense. In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, let’s call back to our founding fathers for a different strategy from our first president, George Washington: “Offensive operations, often times, is the surest, if not the only ... means of defense." Or as the legendary boxer Jack Dempsey distilled this principle: "The best defense is a good offense."So how could the GOP go on offense and force Democrats to play defense for a change? House Republicans have a golden opportunity right in front of them right now.RELATED: How Republicans have failed to defund sanctuary cities for a generation J. David Ake/Getty ImagesThis week, the Senate took the first step to unlock the federal budget process called reconciliation, which allows for Congress to make changes to spending for that fiscal year without the threat of a Democrat filibuster. The Senate-passed budget resolution contains reconciliation instructions for only two committees to produce text for the final bill, focusing on funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol — a direct response to end the DHS shutdown caused by Democrats’ outrageous refusal to fund those parts of the Department of Homeland Security. While Republicans need to fund the DHS, reconciliation is a time-intensive and arduous process. Given the time crunch and the need to deliver more legislative wins, congressional Republicans can and should use the reconciliation process to do more and go on offense.Specifically, House Republicans could go big by including policies that reform wasteful spending and eliminate fraud, delivering impressive wins for everyday Americans that reduce the cost of living. The effort required to enact this plan might make some in D.C. bristle. It would take long nights and likely some weekends, but the American people would finally see and feel the tangible effects of federal policy on kitchen-table issues, just like how people filing their taxes this year got a boost from the Working Families Tax Cut signed into law last year, using the same reconciliation process.Voters expect more than business as usual from their elected representatives. No one wants to see their team down the field just to kick a field goal without even attempting a touchdown. That approach denies the American people the opportunity to see the full potential of policies that could be enacted if the GOP went on offense.Enough fans will suffer through another disappointing season, remaining loyal to their losing teams. Americans are hungry for a win. If the GOP wants to be remembered for something more than last year’s highlight reel, the party should deliver more wins through budget reconciliation by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.

He rescued underage girls from sex trafficking — his Epstein insight leaves Allie Beth Stuckey chilled

Today, Trey Tucker is a therapist and an author, but he used to go on undercover human trafficking raids — rescuing young girls out of the dark clutches of sex slavery. In total, Trey helped rescue 20 underage girls and women out of trafficking rings. The memories he carries still haunt him.But they also give him insight. On this episode of “Relatable,” Allie Beth Stuckey asked Trey to weigh in on Jeffery Epstein’s sinister sex trafficking operations and his ability to wield enormous influence over so many people. His perspective gave her chills. “How is it possible that some of the most powerful people in the United States, some people that we’ve looked to as moral exemplars, some of the most powerful people in the world, are apparently part of a pedophile trafficking ring?” she asks. “The stuff that I was hearing long ago that ... most people dismissed as conspiracy theories, I said, ‘No, that’s probably real,’” Trey says. “I didn’t have firsthand access to whatever was going on on that island, but I’ve seen the depravity enough to know, yeah, that can happen to any of us if you really let that go that far.” He describes the elite world as a “power club” that can only be accessed by doing something that gives the group “blackmail” against you. “It’s hard for me to understand the hold that [Jeffery Epstein] had on so many people,” Allie says. She asks, “From your therapist perspective, when you’re looking at those power dynamics and just his personality, like, what do you see?” Trey says he sees the primordial human struggle to attain “satisfaction” — not just in Epstein himself but in all the people who occupied his power circle. “Epstein himself, he was just the puppet or the pawn. Like, he just had that magnetic charisma about him, and he was the guy at the door, like the bouncer that could let you into this world that you thought was going to satisfy,” he explains. Allie wants to know more about the “psychology” behind a charisma like Epstein’s. “What makes someone publicly appealing even if we know that they’re not good people?” she asks. “It comes down to really two major categories: identity and psychological safety,” Trey says. Someone’s identity, he explains, can essentially be hijacked and manipulated by a powerful public figure. It is entirely possible, Trey tells Allie, to “take someone’s beliefs, political or otherwise” and “transform them” so that they become the core of that person’s identity. Anyone who then opposes those beliefs isn’t just disagreeing with that person; they are “attacking” their very identity. What is happening at the neurobiological level, Trey says, is “you’re moving beyond somebody’s logical brain and ... into their subconscious, and when the subconscious takes over, it shuts down the prefrontal cortex — the logic brain.” This produces fear, causing the individual to “fight and argue no matter what the actual facts are.” “And so these politicians know how to take what should be just a nuanced issue where the front of your brain is just thinking evaluatively, and they know how to go right to that subconscious and put you into fight or flight mode instead,” Trey explains. The second component, psychological safety, exploits someone’s inherent need to feel safe. This need is so strong that people will often override their sense of logic just to get it. “Any politician that really is charismatic, they know that people are anxious, they’re uncertain, and if they can bring a level of strength and certainty, then people will look past their record,” Trey says. Maryland Prosecutor Exposes What Is Causing the Growing Blue-State Exodus

A longtime resident and county attorney says progressive policies have ruined Maryland and forced him to abandon the state after six decades.Carroll County State's Attorney Haven Shoemaker (R) told WBFF-TV in an interview that aired earlier this week that after his term ends, he will be seeking greener grass in North Carolina.'Maryland has now become a sanctuary state. Even after jacking up taxes to the tune of, what, $1.6 billion last year, we're still looking at a structural deficit next year.' "[Democratic Gov.] Wes Moore and the Democrats in the General Assembly, you've won. I'm leaving," the Republican said.Shoemaker listed a long string of policies that have worsened living conditions for Marylanders, including new tax hikes, lax criminal prosecution, and the designation of Maryland as a sanctuary state. "Essentially, the way I see it, Maryland is a lost cause at this point," he added. Shoemaker has a long history of participating in Maryland government but says he no longer wishes to continue living there. "Maryland has gotten progressively more woke every single year," he continued. "Their fiscal policies are awful. They're taxing people to death. Car registration fees are through the roof. And, you know, this most recent session in Annapolis was really, you know, sealed my fate and has hastened my departure. Maryland has now become a sanctuary state. Even after jacking up taxes to the tune of, what, $1.6 billion last year, we're still looking at a structural deficit next year."He cited the Youth Charging Reform Act, which wipes out automatically charging 16- and 17-year-olds as adults on drug, assault, and gun offenses. "It's more criminal coddling legislation that we see emanating from Annapolis every single year," he added. "They were just telltale signs that Maryland's lost." He went on to say that people are leaving "in droves, and it's sad." RELATED: Glenn Beck says if you live in THIS state, get out NOW The Maryland Chamber of Commerce said that the state ranks 45th nationally in domestic migration with more than 18,000 residents leaving in one year period from July 2023. "High taxes, rising living costs, housing affordability challenges and regulatory complexity are pushing residents to states with lower costs, better growth prospects, and more business-friendly climates," read a statement from the chamber. Special forces soldier arrested for allegedly betting on Maduro raid — and winning $400K

The daring raid that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro has also landed one special forces soldier in hot water after he allegedly won $400,000 on a prediction market.Gannon Ken Van Dyke, 38, was charged with personally benefiting from the use of classified information after betting $33,000 on the timing of the raid, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.'Insider trading has no place on Polymarket. Today's arrest is proof the system works.' Van Dyke was reportedly a part of the planning of Operation Absolute Resolve between December 8, 2025, and January 6, 2026, and had access to classified information during that time.At the end of December, Van Dyke allegedly created a Polymarket account and began making more than a dozen bets related to the raid. When news of the trade began to make headlines, Van Dyke then allegedly took efforts to conceal his actions by trying to delete the Polymarket account and transferring the money to cryptocurrency accounts.Polymarket said on social media that it had cooperated with the investigation."Last month, we published our enhanced market integrity rules to combat insider trading," the company said. "When we identified a user trading on classified government information, we referred the matter to the DOJ & cooperated with their investigation. Insider trading has no place on Polymarket. Today's arrest is proof the system works."The indictment said Van Dyke was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina when he allegedly made the transactions on Polymarket.President Donald Trump was asked about the case and likened it to baseball legend Pete Rose betting on himself.RELATED: Insider bets. Multiple lawsuits. Free groceries. Are prediction platforms about to crash out? "Prediction markets are not a haven for using misappropriated confidential or classified information for personal gain," said U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton."The defendant allegedly violated the trust placed in him by the United States Government by using classified information about a sensitive military operation to place bets on the timing and outcome of that very operation, all to turn a profit," he added. "That is clear insider trading and is illegal under federal law."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Ready, aim, FIRE: Trump DOJ to restore old-fashioned death penalty means

In an effort to fulfill President Donald Trump's 2025 executive order to restore the implementation of the death penalty at the federal level, the Department of Justice has decided to bring back a means of execution often associated with a blindfold and a cigarette. After a moratorium on the death penalty under the Biden administration, the Trump DOJ has reintroduced the traditional firing squad method as well as the lethal injection protocols adopted in Trump's first term.President Trump has called for the death penalty in specific cases, including the vicious murders of Iryna Zarutska ... and Charlie Kirk.In a memo released Friday, the DOJ claimed that the purpose of these measures is "to expedite death penalty cases" by "clearing the way for the Department to carry out executions once death-sentenced inmates have exhausted their appeals.""The prior administration failed in its duty to protect the American people by refusing to pursue and carry out the ultimate punishment against the most dangerous criminals, including terrorists, child murderers, and cop killers," said a statement from acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. "Under President Trump’s leadership, the Department of Justice is once again enforcing the law and standing with victims."RELATED: 'Very good news!' Imminent death sentence for 8 Iranian women halted, Trump says — because he intervened Photo of memorial to Iryna Zarutska; Peter Zay/Anadolu/Getty ImagesThe memo claimed that the Biden administration, under the direction of Attorney General Merrick Garland, refused to implement the death penalty, even when the administration's own attorneys sought it. Moreover, shortly before leaving office, President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of nearly every inmate on federal death row. The only three whose death sentences Biden did not commute were 2013 Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev; Dylann Roof, who murdered nine people in a black church in 2015; and Robert Bowers, who murdered 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018.The DOJ under Trump is now actively seeking the death penalty against dozens of defendants, including three MS-13 gangsters accused of murdering a federal witness, the memo said. Two of the three are in the U.S. illegally. The administration is even considering erecting a new execution facility.Since retaking office, President Trump has called for the death penalty in specific state-level cases, including the vicious murders of Iryna Zarutska in North Carolina on August 22, 2025, and Charlie Kirk in Utah on September 10, 2025.Several states already use the firing squad. In fact, beginning on July 1, Idaho will become the first state to use the firing squad as its main means of execution, while other states like South Carolina offer it as an option to death-row inmates.Like Blaze News? Navy Secretary Abruptly Fired Despite Ongoing Iran Blockade

Navy Secretary John Phelan departed from the Department of War as the United States continues to carry out the naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon confirmed the abrupt shakeup in a post on X where spokesman Sean Parnell thanked Phelan for his service, noting that he will be leaving the administration "effective immediately." Parnell did not disclose the reason for Phelan's apparent firing but announced that Undersecretary Hung Cao will become the acting secretary in the interim. 'Some reports claim that Phelan's departure was far from voluntary.'"Secretary of the Navy John C. Phelan is departing the administration, effective immediately," Parnell said in a statement. "On behalf of the Secretary of War and Deputy Secretary of War, we are grateful to Secretary Phelan for his service to the Department and the United States Navy.""We wish him well in his future endeavors."RELATED: The lone Republican who could tank Trump's Fed pick Al Drago/Bloomberg/Getty ImagesMost reports claim that Phelan's departure was far from voluntary, noting that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had been frustrated with the pace of the Navy's shipbuilding. Prior to the war with Iran, Hegseth had been conducting the "Arsenal of Freedom" tour where the secretary would visit various defense contractors, including shipbuilding facilities, and urge builders to "go hard, go fast." Hegseth gave Phelan the option to resign or to be forced out, CNN reported.Phelan reportedly questioned whether this directive came from President Donald Trump, leading him to seek a meeting with the commander in chief. In doing so, Trump confirmed to Phelan that he was no longer going to continue serving in the role. Phelan is not the only military leader to exit the Pentagon in recent weeks. Hegseth similarly fired Army Chief of Staff Randy George earlier in April.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 14-year-old thug body-slams, head-stomps girl on Harlem street — reportedly after she wouldn't give him her phone number

A 14-year-old male was caught on video body-slamming and then head-stomping a girl on a Harlem street — reportedly after she wouldn't give him her phone number, the New York Post reported, citing police and sources. The attack against the 15-year-old victim took place on the corner of East 107th Street and 3rd Avenue in East Harlem around 3:30 p.m. Monday after the school day was over, the Post said.'He should get the death penalty.'The clip shows the considerably larger male standing in a crosswalk in front of his victim and warning her that he'll "knock the s**t out of you right now."Another male is heard off-camera encouraging the attacker: "Do it!"When the girl attempts to cross the street, the attacker orders her, "Nah, you stand right here" as he points to the ground close to his feet. The girl attempts to go around the attacker, but he puts an arm out and pushes her backward. But the gutsy girl defiantly tells her attacker, "Get the f**k away from me, p***y!" and turns around and begins to walk away down a sidewalk. Her attacker, who's wearing a mask over his mouth and nose, follows her, grabs her from behind, picks her up, and body-slams her into the sidewalk.Apparently not satisfied with his feat of strength, he then stomps on her head while she's defenseless on the ground.RELATED: 'Dozens of bystanders' reportedly record video while 15-year-old boy is mercilessly beaten then fatally shot at playground The Post, citing police and sources, said the girl suffered a concussion, and EMS took her to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. The paper added that her attacker was arrested and charged with assault — and sources noted that he's due to appear in family court Thursday. As you can imagine, those reacting to the incident are outraged. Here's a sampling of comments underneath the Post's video posted to YouTube:"Arrest the cameraman as well," one commenter said. "He was enjoying it.""He should get the death penalty," another commenter declared."It's NYC," another commenter wrote. "He'll get a $75 fine and be back on the streets.""If that were my daughter, the cops would need to hold on to him for his safety," another commenter said. "He would leave earth.""Utterly evil, doesn't matter what age," another commenter noted. "This is why we need [the] death penalty nationwide. Some people are beyond saving. We must protect regular normal civil people in society."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

WATCH: Glenn Beck ruthlessly mocks Kathy Hochul for begging ex-New Yorkers to return and fund her social programs

As the state of New York continues to experience a mass exodus of its richest denizens, Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul is getting desperate. On March 11, during a Politico New York Agenda: Albany Summit, Hochul essentially admitted that the state is toast without the rich to sustain its costly social programs.“I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state, right? Now there are some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Okay, cut me the checks. … But maybe the first step should be go down to Palm Beach and see who you can bring back home, because our tax base has been eroded,” she said.Glenn Beck was shocked by her brazen treatment of the wealthy as cash cows.“Do you hear what she's saying there? I need people of high net worth because I need their money to do stuff in the state,” he scoffs. Glenn says that the reason he doesn’t permanently move to Idaho, where his vacation home is located, is because of a single interaction he had with a Republican politician in the state.“When I went to speak to some of the Republicans up in the House and the Senate in Idaho … a Republican came up to me and said … ‘We hope you [move here], because we want to add you to the tax base,”’ he recounts. “And I said, ‘You know what? You've guaranteed that I will never move to Idaho.”’Similarly, ex-New Yorkers have zero incentive to return to the state. “If you live in the city, you're already taking an additional 12%, plus the state gets their [cut] as well, plus the federal government,” says Glenn, “so, you know, if you're making good money, you get to keep, like, I don't know, 40% of it.”“Who doesn't want to live like that?” he asks sarcastically.Glenn speculates that Hochul’s desperate pleading won’t produce the results she desires and neither will her proposal to implement an annual tax surcharge on luxury second homes in New York City that are valued at $5 million or more.Announced on April 15, the new surcharge, which would be on top of regular property taxes, is designed to make ultra-wealthy non-residents who do not pay city or state income taxes "contribute their fair share" to city services so that New York City’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) can close the city’s budget gap.The choice is simple, says Glenn: “Pay none of that in Texas or Florida or Tennessee," or “go back [to New York] and pay all of that and then pay an extra if you have something that [Kathy Hochul] thinks is too much.”“I'm so tempted to go back to New York right now. … I'm like, I don't know, should I live in Florida or should I maybe go back to New York City and help them build that supermarket?” he mocks. To hear more, watch the video above.Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Deadly HS shooting deemed self-defense — but student who fired fatal shot isn't completely in the clear

A deadly shooting that took place at a Northern California high school earlier this month has been deemed self-defense — but the student who allegedly fired the fatal shot isn't completely in the clear.Sacramento County prosecutors have declined to file homicide charges in the case because the April 10 killing at Natomas High School occurred during a violent attempted robbery, which falls under self-defense, KXTV-TV reported.'Our professional and ethical obligation requires us to decline charges when the evidence cannot establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.'The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that two non-students went on campus looking for a specific student, the station said.Authorities said one of them was wearing a ski mask and carrying a handgun, KXTV noted.More from the station:Investigators determined the pair found the student and violently tried to rob him, leading to a confrontation, according to the DA's office. During that encounter, the targeted student — who was also carrying a firearm — shot and killed the armed suspect, according to prosecutors. The person who was killed has been identified by family members as 16-year-old De’Jon Sledge. After reviewing the facts, evidence and applicable law, including self-defense, the district attorney’s office concluded there was insufficient evidence to prove a homicide case beyond a reasonable doubt.“Our professional and ethical obligation requires us to decline charges when the evidence cannot establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” the office told KXTV in a statement.RELATED: Teen robbers open fire on victim behind Texas Family Dollar, but victim also has a gun — and turns the tables lethally The person associated with the individual who was fatally shot will be charged in juvenile court with attempted robbery, the station noted. The intended target who fired the weapon will be charged with various weapons charges, KXTV said, citing the DA's office. The station said the DA's office also raised concerns about school violence and noted that schools should be safe places for students — and that youths should not feel compelled to carry weapons for protection.Like Blaze News?
