Captured Me
You’ve captured me,
Like a beast within a cage,
My wild spirit tamed by thee,
Your love has softened all my rage.
You’ve captured me,
With your kindness and your grace,
So gentle are thee,
With light shining from thy face.
You’ve captured me,
My dreams are filled with you,
I pray at night to fly to thee,
Through astral realms anew.
You’ve captured me,
And sometimes it is woe,
For you do not belong to me—
A love I cannot claim, yet cannot show.
You’ve captured me,
And you are like the sun,
Who spreads its warmth to me,
Whose rays grow soft when day is done.
You’ve captured me,
And my heart feels your light,
As though from some forgotten eternity,
I knew you at first sight.
You’ve captured me,
And I am waiting
For some future day for me
Your love comes close I am anticipating
You’ve captured me,
And I am waiting,
For some future destiny,
Where your love comes close,
And I am no longer anticipating
You’ve captured me
And I know that it’s true
And my own light shines brighter,
For having truly loved you
