Real Luxury
The only real luxury is being able to undertake a project without worrying about its economic feasibility. And that project, first and foremost, should be ourselves and our soul journey. How many of us deny ourselves the food, the experiences, the practices, and even hobbies that we really need and deserve in order to grow spiritually? That is perhaps one of the biggest tragedies that this pragmatic, pseudo-capitalist, over-intellectualized materialistic system, fueled by fiat currencies and blind statism, perpetuates. It’s not “out there.” Well, it is, but it’s also within. The microcosm and the macrocosm reflect each other, and the work begins at the micro level.
God has invested in you by putting you on this Earth, and the only ROI he’s interested in is your spiritual growth, wisdom, love and compassion. If you can create material abundance while you’re at it - more power to you, but this is not the goal. The goal is the evolution of the soul.
Let me try to sum up the lessons I’ve been getting:
1. Your connection with the Divine is the most important aspect of your being. Anything that interferes with that (be it your ego, your possessions, your plans and desires, even the people around you) will have to fall aside to make way for God
2. Learning is the highest personal mission in your life. You can also call it soul evolution. Embodied wisdom is the most valuable asset you can own and cultivate
Every challenge and every setback is designed to push you towards these two things: God and wisdom. That is what the Divine Will is manifesting. Your task is to accept and embrace it.
