What Their Own Books Say About Islam — No Softening
Claim audit of Will Sexton’s “Muhammad, Talmud, and Hidden Hatred” (YouTube: -OZaWPj6HW8), then the negative material that actually holds up in the sources. Kabbalah included. Soft language not included.
This was made mostly with the assistance of my Talmudic AI project I posted about earlier.
Claims made by Will Sexton were verified against Sefaria Corpus
(This entire post is to test my Agentic Talmud researcher, Vibe Noticing here)
To start here is: what the video got right, and what it inflated
Holds up (local Sefaria export + ṣaḥīḥ hadith corpus):
- Rambam (Maimonides) — any man who rises and claims a new law, or to cancel Torah forever, is a false prophet whose death is strangulation. That category is not a vibe. It is code.
- Rambam, Laws of Kings and Wars 11 — Jesus is a stumbling block; “that Ishmaelite who arose after him” (Muhammad ﷺ in the standard reading) only prepares the way for their Messiah. When their “true” Messiah wins, the nations realize their ancestors handed them a false heritage.
- Zohar (Kabbalah) — Ishmael’s birth is a woe; Ishmaelites get an empty, imperfect circumcision; they hold the Holy Land to block Israel’s return until their “merit” runs out; they stir wars with Edom (Christendom); God wipes Ishmael from the land; only Israel’s power remains above.
- Otzar Midrashim / Prayer of R. Shimon b. Yoḥai — a foolish man stands and speaks falsely about God and conquers the land; the kingdom of Ishmael ends in slaughter of Israel without measure; enmity with the sons of Esau.
- Tanakh line on Ishmael — pere adam, a wild ass of a man; later Jewish reading turns that into a permanent character of the Arab/Muslim line as affliction and war.
- Meshugga / “Pasul Allah” / “Qalon” for Qur’an — the video’s chain is Samawʾal al-Maghribī (Ifḥām al-Yahūd, 12th c. convert polemic), not a retrieved Bavli sugya. Hostile nicknames in later Jewish speech are real as a phenomenon; pinning them to “the Talmud” without a daf is the video’s slide. This post uses named works, not rumor lists.
- “Bones be crushed” on Jesus/Muhammad PBUH in the English Mishneh Torah merge retrieved here — not that wording in Kings 11:6–7. The Rambam text we have is already brutal enough without inventing a phrase.
- Early Jewish welcome of Muslim conquest vs Byzantium is a separate historical claim; the internal literature below is not “they loved Muslims.” It is: use them, outlast them, erase them from the land when the end comes.
1. Kabbalah does not “respect” Ishmael. It mourns that he was born.
Zohar, Vaera 22 (merged English, Sefaria export):
“Alas, alas! Alas for the time when Hagar begat Ishmael!”
“Woe, woe, that Ishmael was born into the world and was circumcised! What did the Holy One do? He banished the children of Ishmael from the heavenly communion and gave them instead a portion here below in the Holy Land, because of their circumcision.”
“And they are destined to rule over the land a long time, so long as it is empty, just as their form of circumcision is empty and imperfect; and they will prevent Israel from returning to their own land until the merit of the children of Ishmael shall have become exhausted.”
“And the sons of Ishmael will fight mighty battles in the world, and the sons of Edom will gather against them, and make war against them, some on land, others on sea, and some close to Jerusalem, and one shall prevail over the other, but the Holy Land will not be delivered to the sons of Edom.”
Then: God rises, slaughters Edom, and “He will wipe out the children of Ishmael from the Holy Land” — and only the power of Israel remains above the nations.
Read that again slowly.
Not coexistence.
Not “Abrahamic cousins.”
Empty covenant mark. Land as a temporary bone. War with Christians. Expulsion of Muslims from the Holy Land. Israel alone above.
Zohar, Shemot 36:1 — Egypt and Ishmael (the translation itself glosses Islam):
“…the ‘handmaid’ is Hagar, who bare Ishmael, who tormented Israel so cruelly in the past, and still rules over her and persecutes her for her faith. In truth, the exile under Ishmael is the hardest of all exiles.”
Zohar, Vayera 32:6:
“The children of Ishmael will at the same time rouse all the peoples of the world to come up to war against Jerusalem…”
Tikkunei Zohar 30b:15 — Esau and Ishmael as the refuse of Abraham and Isaac, who enslaved their children in exile.
Zohar, Yitro 23:23 — Israel is told not even to conceive God “in those aspects (faces) which form Ishmael’s religion” — the English merge footnotes Mohammedanism.
This is not a blogger. This is the Zohar — the spine of Kabbalah — treating Islam as a hard exile, an imperfect mark, a blocker of return, and a power that ends when Heaven wipes it from the land.
2. Apocalyptic midrash: the “foolish man” who conquers while speaking falsehood about God
Otzar Midrashim — Midrashim of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Prayer of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai 5 (merged English):
Metatron tells Shimon that the kingdom of Ishmael, at the end of its reign, will slay in Israel a great slaughter that has no measure, decree severe decrees, stab Torah-readers with the sword…
And:
“…the Holy One, blessed be He, sends Ishmaelites among them and make war with them in order to save Israel from them, and a foolish man stands and speaks falsely about God, and he conquers the land, and there will be enmity between them and between the sons of Esau.”
That is the line the video hit. It is in the midrash anthology.
Ishmael is instrumental: used against Edom, then framed as false speech about God plus conquest, then locked into enmity with Christendom — while Israel’s story waits for its own king.
Pirkei DeRabbi Eliezer 30:12 — in the latter days the children of Ishmael do fifteen things in the land, including measuring it, multiplying falsehood, and building a building in the Holy Place — until the Branch, son of David, arises.
Instrument. Obstacle. Then messianic cleanup. That is the arc.
3. Rambam: Muhammad is not a prophet. He is “that Ishmaelite” who paves the road for their king
Mishneh Torah, Foundations of the Torah 9:1:
If a person arises — Jew or gentile — and says God sent him to add a mitzvah, withdraw a mitzvah, explain against Moses’ tradition, or say the mitzvot are not forever:
“he is a false prophet… and should be executed by strangulation…”
That is the legal frame. Islam’s claim that Muhammad ﷺ is a prophet with a new law is, in Rambam’s system, not a “different path.” It is false prophecy under capital law.
Mishneh Torah, Kings and Wars 11:6–9:
- Jesus of Nazareth: greatest stumbling block; caused Jews to be slain, Torah altered, the world to serve a god other than the Lord.
- Then:
“Ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite who arose after him will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach’s coming and the improvement of the entire world, motivating the nations to serve God together…”
- How? The world fills with talk of Messiah, Torah, mitzvot — some say the mitzvot were true but cancelled; others say hidden meanings and the Messiah already came.
- Then:
“When the true Messianic king will arise and prove successful… they will all return and realize that their ancestors endowed them with a false heritage and their prophets and ancestors caused them to err.”
So in the code of the man who lived under Muslim rule, was court physician in the Islamic world, and still wrote the synagogue’s standard law book:
Muhammad is not partner. He is prep work.
Christianity and Islam are staging.
At the end, both are exposed as inherited error.
Israel’s Messiah takes the win.
That is colder than street insult. It is eschatological absorption.
4. The older wound: Ishmael written as affliction
Genesis 16:12 — Ishmael will be a wild ass of a man; his hand against everyone, everyone’s hand against him.
Ramban on Genesis 16:6 — Sarah’s harshness (and Abraham’s permission) is answered by God giving Hagar a son who would be that wild-ass man “to afflict the seed of Abraham and Sarah with all kinds of affliction.”
Ibn Ezra on Genesis 16:12 — maps the fourth beast of Daniel onto the kingdom of Ishmael: it prevails first; in the end it is defeated.
This is not modern geopolitics invented on Twitter. It is medieval and classical Jewish reading of the Arab/Muslim line as wild, free, violent, temporary — and destined to lose.
5. The “third party” war machine (video thesis that matches the texts)
| Source | Role of Ishmael / Islam | Role of Edom / Christendom | Endgame for Israel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zohar Vaera 22 | Wars; holds land; imperfect mark | Gathers to fight Ishmael | Ishmael wiped from land; Israel’s power alone |
| Prayer of Rashbi (Otzar) | Foolish false speaker; conquers; later slaughter of Israel | Enmity with Ishmael | Messianic timeline after the clashes |
| Rambam Kings 11 | Ishmaelite prepares for Messiah | Jesus as stumbling block | Nations admit false heritage |
| PRE 30 | Fifteen acts in the land / build in Holy Place | — | Branch of David arises |
The video’s political punch — let Edom and Ishmael bleed each other while Jacob’s project advances — is not invented from nothing. Kabbalah and Rambam already cast Muslims and Christians as temporary world-shakers whose real job, in this literature, is to clear the board for Israel’s Messiah.
You do not have to like that.
You do have to stop pretending the literature is a Hallmark card about “shared Abrahamic values.”
6. What this means
It is this: the authoritative code (Rambam), the Kabbalistic backbone (Zohar), and apocalyptic midrash (Rashbi material / PRE) contain a sustained negative structure toward Islam and toward Muhammad ﷺ as false, instrumental, exile, and finally removable.
They will realize that The Jews are the servants of Satan and the followers of The Messiah Al-Dajjal (Anti-Christ)
What These Jewish Sources Say About Jesus and Muhammad ﷺ
If someone tells you “Judaism has always loved Islam,” hand them Zohar Vaera 22 and Kings and Wars 11 and make them read out loud.
Below are the passages themselves — plus the Talmud’s Onkelos episode on Jesus — English and Hebrew.
- Zohar Vaera 22 — Kabbalah
- Mishneh Torah, Kings and Wars 11 — Rambam’s code
- Bavli Gittin 57a — Talmud (Onkelos the convert, not Targum Onkelos)
Part A — Jesus
1. Talmud Bavli, Gittin 57a — Onkelos raises Jesus
English
Gittin 57a:2
Onkelos then went and raised Balaam from the grave through necromancy. He said to him: Who is most important in that world where you are now? Balaam said to him: The Jewish people. Onkelos asked him: Should I then attach myself to them here in this world? Balaam said to him: You shall not seek their peace or their welfare all the days (see Deuteronomy 23:7). Onkelos said to him: What is the punishment of that man, a euphemism for Balaam himself, in the next world? Balaam said to him: He is cooked in boiling semen, as he caused Israel to engage in licentious behavior with the daughters of Moab.
Gittin 57a:3
Onkelos then went and raised Jesus the Nazarene from the grave through necromancy. Onkelos said to him: Who is most important in that world where you are now? Jesus said to him: The Jewish people. Onkelos asked him: Should I then attach myself to them in this world? Jesus said to him: Their welfare you shall seek, their misfortune you shall not seek, for anyone who touches them is regarded as if he were touching the apple of his eye (see Zechariah 2:12).
Gittin 57a:4
Onkelos said to him: What is the punishment of that man, a euphemism for Jesus himself, in the next world? Jesus said to him: He is punished with boiling excrement. As the Master said: Anyone who mocks the words of the Sages will be sentenced to boiling excrement. And this was his sin, as he mocked the words of the Sages. The Gemara comments: Come and see the difference between the sinners of Israel and the prophets of the nations of the world. As Balaam, who was a prophet, wished Israel harm, whereas Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Jewish sinner, sought their well-being.
Hebrew
57a:2
2. Rambam — Kings and Wars 11 on Jesus
English
11:6
Jesus of Nazareth who aspired to be the Mashiach and was executed by the court was also alluded to in Daniel’s prophecies, as ibid. 11:14 states: “The vulgar among your people shall exalt themselves in an attempt to fulfill the vision, but they shall stumble.” Can there be a greater stumbling block than Christianity? All the prophets spoke of Mashiach as the redeemer of Israel and their savior who would gather their dispersed and strengthen their observance of the mitzvot. In contrast, Christianity caused the Jews to be slain by the sword, their remnants to be scattered and humbled, the Torah to be altered, and the majority of the world to err and serve a god other than the Lord.
11:7 (with Muhammad ﷺ — full text in Part B)
Nevertheless, the intent of the Creator of the world is not within the power of man to comprehend, for His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts, our thoughts. Ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite who arose after him will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach’s coming and the improvement of the entire world, motivating the nations to serve God together as Tzephaniah 3:9 states: “I will transform the peoples to a purer language that they all will call upon the name of God and serve Him with one purpose.”
11:8
How will this come about? The entire world has already become filled with the mention of Mashiach, Torah, and mitzvot. These matters have been spread to the furthermost islands to many stubborn-hearted nations. They discuss these matters and the mitzvot of the Torah, saying: “These mitzvot were true, but were already negated in the present age and are not applicable for all time.” Others say: “Implied in the mitzvot are hidden concepts that can not be understood simply. The Mashiach has already come and revealed those hidden truths.”
11:9
When the true Messianic king will arise and prove successful, his position becoming exalted and uplifted, they will all return and realize that their ancestors endowed them with a false heritage and their prophets and ancestors caused them to err.
Hebrew

Part B — Muhammad ﷺ (and Islam / Ishmael)
In these sources Muhammad ﷺ is not named “Muhammad.” He is “that Ishmaelite who arose after him [Jesus]” (Rambam), and Islam/Arabs are under Ishmael (Zohar).
1. Rambam — Kings and Wars 11 on “that Ishmaelite”
English
11:7
Nevertheless, the intent of the Creator of the world is not within the power of man to comprehend, for His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts, our thoughts. Ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite who arose after him will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach’s coming and the improvement of the entire world, motivating the nations to serve God together as Tzephaniah 3:9 states: “I will transform the peoples to a purer language that they all will call upon the name of God and serve Him with one purpose.”

Meaning in plain English: Jesus and “that Ishmaelite” (standard reading: Muhammad ﷺ) are not accepted as true final revelation. Their role in this code is temporary staging for Israel’s Messiah. At the end, the nations are said to discover their inherited religions were false.
2. Zohar, Vaera 22 — Ishmael / the Holy Land / wiping out
English
22:1
R. Jose and R. Hiya were walking together. Said R. Jose to R. Hiya: “Why art thou silent? Without converse on holy matters the walk is not profitable.” R. Hiya burst into tears and said: “It is written, ‘Sarai was barren, she had no child’ (Gen. 11:30). Alas, alas! Alas for the time when Hagar begat Ishmael!”
22:2
Said R. Jose: “Why? Did not Sarah afterwards conceive and bear a son of the holy stock?” R. Hiya answered: “Thou seest and I see, but one may see more than another. And I have heard something from the mouth of R. Simeon, which makes me weep.” “What is it?” “I will tell you. Sarah was long in having a son of her own, and she said to Abraham: ‘I pray thee, go in unto my maid’ (Gen. 16:2), and Hagar had a son by Abram,”
22:3
“and Abram prayed to God: ‘O that Ishmael might live before thee!’ Now, although the Holy One, blessed be He, promised Abraham that he would beget Isaac, yet Abraham was so attached to Ishmael, that the Holy One had to promise him: ‘As for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold, I have blessed him… and I will make him a great nation’ (Gen. 17:20). Through his circumcision Ishmael entered into the holy covenant before Isaac was born.”
22:4
“Now, for four hundred years the supramundane representative of Ishmael stood before the Holy One, blessed be He, and pleaded thus with him: ‘He who is circumcised, has he a portion in Thy Name?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘But what then of Ishmael? Is he not circumcised? Why then has he no portion in Thy Name, like Isaac?’ The Holy One answered: ‘Isaac was circumcised according to rule, not so Ishmael; moreover the Israelites attach themselves to me from the eighth day of their birth, but the Ishmaelites for a long time are far from me.’ Said he: ‘Yet, as Ishmael has been circumcised, he ought to have a reward!’”
22:5
“Woe, woe, that Ishmael was born into the world and was circumcised! What did the Holy One do? He banished the children of Ishmael from the heavenly communion and gave them instead a portion here below in the Holy Land, because of their circumcision.”
22:6
“And they are destined to rule over the land a long time, so long as it is empty, just as their form of circumcision is empty and imperfect; and they will prevent Israel from returning to their own land until the merit of the children of Ishmael shall have become exhausted.”
22:7
“And the sons of Ishmael will fight mighty battles in the world, and the sons of Edom will gather against them, and make war against them, some on land, others on sea, and some close to Jerusalem, and one shall prevail over the other, but the Holy Land will not be delivered to the sons of Edom.”
22:8
“Then a nation from the furthest ends of the earth will rise against wicked Rome and fight against her for three months, and many nations will gather there and fall into the hands of that people, until all the sons of Edom will congregate against her from all the ends of the earth. Then the Holy One will rise against them, as it says: ‘A slaughter of the Lord in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom’ (Isa. 34:6). He will ‘take hold of the ends of the earth that the wicked might be shaken out of it.’ He will wipe out the children of Ishmael from the Holy Land, and crush all the powers and principalities of the nations in the supramundane world, and only one power will remain above to rule over the nations of the world, namely the power representing Israel, as it is written: ‘The Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand’ (Ps. 121:5).”
22:9
“For the Holy Name is at the Right, and the Torah is at the Right, and therefore all depends on the Right, and likewise the future salvation is at the Right, as it says: ‘Save with thy right hand’ (Ps. 60:7). Concerning that time it is written: ‘Then I will turn to the peoples a pure language that they may all call upon the name of the Lord to serve him with one consent’ (Zeph. 3:9), and on that day ‘will the Lord be one and his name one’ (Zech. 14:9). Blessed be the Lord for ever and ever. Amen and amen.”

Full Rambam chapter context (Kings and Wars 11:1–5)
For completeness, the lead-in before Jesus and the Ishmaelite:
11:1 — Future Messianic king restores David, builds the Temple, gathers the dispersed; denial of him is denial of Torah and Moses.
11:2 — Cities of refuge expansion never yet fulfilled; God did not command in vain.
11:3 — Messiah need not do miracles; Torah’s laws are everlasting; we may not add or detract.
11:4 — Davidic king who keeps Written and Oral Law, fights wars of God → presumed Mashiach; builds Temple and gathers exiles → definite Mashiach.
11:5 — If he fails or is killed, he is not the promised redeemer — only a test.
Then 11:6–9 as above.
Read them out loud. That is the dossier.
APPENDIX : hat Jews did against the Prophet ﷺ (from ṣaḥīḥ)
Islamic sources. No balancing speeches. The record of harm.
1. The Jewess and the poison of Khaybar
After Khaybar, a Jewish woman brought a poisoned cooked sheep as a “gift.” The Prophet ﷺ ate from it. The poison stayed with him.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 2617 — Anas:
A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet ﷺ who ate from it… “I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ.”
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3169 — Abū Hurayrah: when Khaybar was conquered, a roasted poisoned sheep was presented by the Jews. He gathered them. They admitted it. Their reason:
“We wanted to know if you were a liar in which case we would get rid of you, and if you are a prophet then the poison would not harm you.”
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4428 — ʿĀʾishah: in the illness in which he died, he said:
“O ʿĀʾishah! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.”
So the Jewish gift was not hospitality. It was an assassination attempt. They said the quiet part: get rid of him if he is false. And the pain of that poison was still in his body when he was dying.
2. Magic worked on him by a Jew (ally of the Jews)
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5766 / 5765 / 3268 — ʿĀʾishah:
Magic was worked on Allah’s Messenger ﷺ so he imagined he had done what he had not. The perpetrator named: Labīd b. al-Aʿṣam — in the reports: a Jew from Banū Zurayq / ally of the Jews / hypocrite tied to them. Materials: comb, hair, pollen skin, well of Dharwān.
That is not debate. That is siḥr aimed at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
3. Hostility over the qiblah and scripture games
Bukhārī 40 / 399 — Jews were pleased when he faced Jerusalem; when the qiblah turned to the Kaʿbah, they disapproved.
Bukhārī 6819 / 7543 — when a Jewish man and woman were brought for zinā, the Jews tried to hide the Torah’s stoning verse with a hand over the page until Ibn Salām forced the hand up. Concealment of their own book in his court.
4. His dying warning about them
Bukhārī 435 / 436 / 437 / 1330 / 1390 — in his final illness:
“May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.”
Bukhārī 437 — “May Allah’s curse be on the Jews for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.”
That is the last chapter of his life: poison pain from Khaybar still in his body, and a curse on the pattern of the People of the Book who turned prophets’ graves into cult sites — Jews named first in several wordings.
5. The pattern
From the Muslim primary record, the negative ledger against the Prophet ﷺ includes:
| Act | Source class | Content |
|---|---|---|
| Poisoned food at Khaybar | Bukhārī | Jewess / Jews; intent to eliminate him if “liar” |
| Lasting poison pain into deathbed | Bukhārī | He linked his final pain to Khaybar’s poison |
| Magic (siḥr) | Bukhārī | Labīd b. al-Aʿṣam, Jew / Jewish ally |
| Opposition when qiblah left their direction | Bukhārī | Disapproval when he faced the Kaʿbah |
| Hiding Torah ruling in his presence | Bukhārī | Hand over rajm verse |
| Named in his deathbed curse re: graves of prophets | Bukhārī | “May Allah curse the Jews…” |
The same civilization that produced Zohar Vaera 22 and Rambam Kings 11 — Islam as hard exile, false-prophet category, instrumental “Ishmaelite,” wipe-from-the-land ending — is the civilization whose Medinan/Khaybar factions, in the ṣaḥīḥ, poisoned him, bewitched him, fought his direction of prayer, and hid scripture in his face.
