Your Nostr post will be displayed during your session, allowing attendees to zap you as you speak.

§What is PubPay Live?

PubPay Live enables real-time engagement during live presentations.

During your talk, attendees can zap you with Bitcoin payments that arrive instantly in your wallet — live as you speak. This creates an interactive experience where your audience can engage in real time.

§Setup Process

To complete your PubPay Live integration, please follow the steps below. You can use PubPay or any other Nostr client — whichever you prefer.

§Option 1: Use PubPay.me

PubPay handles everything in one place — create your Nostr account, write your post, and configure your Lightning address directly.

§Option 2: Use Any Nostr Client

If you already use or prefer another client such as Primal, Damus, or Amethyst, that works too.

Your Nostr profile must include a Lightning address to receive zaps from the audience.

§Steps

§Step 1: Create or Log In to Your Nostr Account

• Use PubPay or your preferred client

§Step 2: Add a Lightning Address to Your Profile

You can get one easily from wallets like:

• Blink — Example: yourname@blink.sv
• Wallet of Satoshi — Example: yourname@walletofsatoshi.com

§Step 3: Create Your Post (Note)

Example:

“Excited to be speaking at Adopting Bitcoin! ⚡ #AdoptingBitcoin2025”

Post it from your chosen client.

If you’re using PubPay: After posting, click the share button on your note. Copy the share link to your clipboard, and you can extract the note1... ID from the URL (it’s the part after /note/).

§Step 4: Insert it in Pretalx

To finalize your PubPay Live setup, please log in to Pretalx and complete the field labeled “Note or Event ID (note1 or nevent1 for PubPay)”. Paste your post ID there — it will look like note1... or nevent1.... This completes the integration and enables your post to be displayed live during your session.

Important: If you do not submit your note ID in Pretalx, a default note will be displayed during your session, and any zaps sent by the audience will not be routed to you.
