Where Fat Actually Goes When You Lose Weight


Most people know how to lose weight. Few know where the fat actually goes.

When your body burns stored fat, about 84% leaves as carbon dioxide (CO₂) that you exhale, while about 16% leaves as water through urine, sweat, and other body fluids.

That’s why the habits on the left matter. They increase your body’s need to use stored energy. The lungs simply become the primary exit route.
