Drive Mad Notes for Level 5 and Beyond (Revisited)

Drive Mad looks simple: you only have gas and reverse, and a small blocky car that wants to flip the moment you get greedy. Every level is a little physics puzzle where momentum matters more than speed.

My favourite place to play is Drive Mad, because it loads quickly, runs fullscreen and does not ask for any download or account.

When a level has a seesaw or a rope bridge, wait for it to settle before you commit. Patience is a real skill in this game.

Watch where the car’s weight is. A heavy rear means it will wheelie; a heavy front means it will dive. Adjust with tiny taps.

Some levels hand you a truck, others a tiny buggy or a monster wheel car. Each vehicle balances differently, so the same trick may not work twice.

Expect a few levels that feel unfair at first. Usually there is a slow, boring line that works every time; find it before trying the fast one.

There is also a guide at drive mad walkthrough if you want more detail.

It is a calm game in a strange way. There is no timer pressure, just you, the car and a slightly ridiculous obstacle.

Whether you have five minutes or an hour, the game scales to it, and that is rare for browser games.

See you at the finish flag. — Drive Mad
