TwentyOne.Life is dedicated to building sovereignty brick by brick. From money to food, from health to privacy, Bitcoin is the foundation for freedom in a world distorted by fiat.

I write about sound money, proof-of-work, and the Sovereign Stack: Money. Health. Data. Attention. Energy.

Escaping Fiat Convenience: Reclaiming Health and Life Beyond a Broken System

Fiat money has not only debased our savings, it has debased our lives. What looks like convenience in food, health, and attention is in fact corruption, calories without nutrients, pills without healing, endless distraction without focus. In Brick by Brick: Building a Sovereign Life on Bitcoin I explore how this erosion touches every part of our existence, and how Bitcoin provides a foundation to rebuild. Escaping fiat convenience doesn’t happen in one leap, but one sovereign action at a time, a meal, a choice, a sat. Brick by brick, we reclaim resilience and freedom.

BitChat: Jack Dorsey’s Leap Into Decentralized, Off-Grid Communication

Jack Dorsey’s latest project, BitChat, is a decentralized messaging app that enables communication without internet, cell service, or centralized servers. By using a Bluetooth mesh network, each phone becomes both a user and a relay, allowing messages to hop device-to-device until they reach their destination. With no accounts, no phone numbers, and end-to-end encryption for private chats and password-protected channels, BitChat offers a radically different model of communication, one focused on sovereignty, privacy, and resilience in scenarios where traditional infrastructure fails. However, this independence comes with trade-offs. BitChat’s range is limited to local environments, reliability is “best effort” compared to the smoothness of centralized apps, and the user experience remains minimalistic. While it cannot replace global messengers like WhatsApp or Signal, BitChat represents a powerful complement: an off-grid tool for censorship resistance and emergency communication. In short, BitChat embodies the decentralization ethos, trading convenience for sovereignty, and challenges us to rethink how communication can be built, controlled, and protected.

Brick by Brick: Reclaiming Sovereignty in a Fiat World

On October 31st, Bitcoin Whitepaper Day, my book Brick by Brick: Building a Sovereign Life on Bitcoin will be published. It’s a blueprint for sovereignty, showing how fiat corrupts money, food, health, and culture, and how Bitcoin provides the foundation to rebuild. The book unfolds in five parts: from fiat decay to Bitcoin as renaissance, building parallel systems, real-life case studies, and the Sovereign Stack. Part 4 highlights stories of ordinary people living sovereignty in practice: Bram Kanstein - Dutch entrepreneur and builder. Carlo Isolabellart - Italian artist, husband, and educator A European pensioner - proving it’s never too late to embrace Bitcoin and health. I’m still looking for two more voices from people living on a Bitcoin Standard to share their journey. 👉 Pre-order here: amzn.to/4mW2pK4 👉 will be also available via my BTCPay Server with satoshis soon.

Bitcoin and the European CBDC: A Clash of Philosophies in the Digital Economy

Digital transformation is rapidly reshaping our world, with technologies like Bitcoin and Web3 promoting decentralization and user empowerment, while Europe prepares to launch a centralized digital euro (CBDC) to enhance payment efficiency and monetary control. Bitcoin, with its fixed supply and decentralized nature, offers a hedge against inflation and a symbol of financial independence, contrasting sharply with the CBDC’s potential programmability and inflationary risks due to central bank control. This divergence highlights a fundamental clash of philosophies, freedom versus oversight, scarcity versus flexibility. As these technologies evolve, they raise critical societal and ethical questions about the future of money, privacy, and digital sovereignty.

Red Light Rising: Rethinking Screens, Health, and Remote Work at Sunrise

While working remotely by the sea this May, I’ve experienced firsthand how natural light, especially red light at sunrise, profoundly impacts health, energy, and focus. Unlike blue light from screens, which disrupts sleep and strains the eyes, red and near-infrared wavelengths enhance cellular energy, support recovery, and help reset our biological clocks. Simple habits like morning sun exposure, evening red light, and screen-light reduction can radically improve well-being. With innovations like the Daylight Computer and supportive remote work cultures, we can align our workspaces with human biology, proving that true productivity starts with health.

Iteration Over Luck: Decoding the Power of Satoshi’s White Paper

This article underscores the power of simplicity in Satoshi Nakamoto’s nine-page white paper, “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” which crystallized decades of cryptographic and cypherpunk research into an elegantly designed protocol. By combining a linked chain of timestamped blocks with proof-of-work consensus, Satoshi solved the double-spending problem, aligned miner incentives, and enabled trustless electronic payments, all without a central authority. Tracing Bitcoin’s lineage from TCP/IP and public-key cryptography through DigiCash, smart contracts, and Hashcash, the piece emphasizes that Bitcoin was not a lucky one-off innovation but the culmination of relentless iteration. It highlights how ongoing upgrades like SegWit, Taproot, and the Lightning Network continue this tradition of thoughtful refinement. Finally, the article calls on readers to pair “stacking sats” with building technical skills, running full nodes, auditing code, mastering multisig, and engaging with Bitcoin Improvement Proposals, to actively contribute to Bitcoin’s resilience and secure their own financial sovereignty through continuous innovation.

From Digital Efficiency to Personal Sovereignty: My Unexpected Journey

I describe a life spent automating and optimizing within a system built on unstable fiat money, one that prioritizes urgency, cheap fixes and debt over lasting value, and ultimately found it hollow. A turning point came with Bitcoin: what began as speculative interest revealed deeper lessons about scarcity, time preference and personal responsibility. This led me to overhaul diet, data ownership and measures of success, embracing what they call a “Sovereign Stack” of Bitcoin savings, ancestral nutrition, decentralized infrastructure and focused attention. Far from rejecting modernity, this approach builds parallel, self-reliant systems, homeschool cooperatives, meat co-ops, privacy-first tools, and the author invites others to share their own transformations, believing real renewal happens “brick by sovereign brick,” driven by individuals rather than institutions.

Bitcoin Lending: Is it Worth the Risk for Bitcoiners?

I am a dedicated Bitcoiner since 2017, shares a personal shift from altcoin speculation to a life aligned with Bitcoin principles—sovereignty, decentralization, and long-term thinking. Embracing a Bitcoin standard, they now measure value in sats and support BTC-only tools like Nostr, Fedimint, and the Lightning Network. The core question explored is: Is it worth lending your Bitcoin? The article breaks down four models: CeFi: Easy access to loans but with custody and counterparty risks (e.g., Celsius collapse). DeFi: Non-custodial and transparent but exposed to smart contract bugs and bridge exploits. P2P: Decentralized with direct lending, but relies on borrower trust and dispute resolution. Self-Custodial Vaults: Max control through multi-sig setups (e.g., Unchained), but requires technical skill and LTV monitoring. The author stresses lending should only occur with full understanding and control. Yield is tempting, but not worth sacrificing sovereignty or custody. The future, they believe, lies in BTC-only, self-sovereign financial systems that prioritize security and resilience over hype or high returns.
