BOLT12 Pay v0.3.15 — Incoming Payer Notes
BOLT12 Pay v0.3.15 is now available on Umbrel and StartOS!
Incoming BOLT12 payer notes are now displayed directly in Lightning Activity, separately from the Offer memo.
This is especially useful for everyday and business payments. Just like a payment reference in a bank transfer, payer notes can tell the recipient what a payment is for — an invoice, an order, a service or simply a personal message.
What’s new:
- Incoming payer notes from compatible wallets like Phoenix
- Full support for long messages, emojis and line breaks
- Searchable payment history
- Persistent storage across restarts
Successfully tested with Phoenix and phoenixd.
Another small step toward making self-hosted Lightning more practical for real-world payments.
