Woman in the Dunes
I was a tech coder before it was cool in the SF Bay Area. Then HP laid 30,000 of us off and outsourced our jobs to China. I had to find a way to make Granpa’s house payments for him, so I went to Hollywood and became an adult entertainer for Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt.
Dennis Hof discovered me there. He offered me a job at his HBO Cathouse television set in Nevada as his personal bodyguard. I was eventually hired to produce the nightly live broadcasts for him. We became very close friends, and yes, I did become one of his world-famous featured Working gIRLs just for kicks.
Life was fun while he was alive, but then one day he wasn’t.
I was in Reno getting ready for a photoshoot he gifted me for his birthday. He was down at Love Ranch South where Lamar Odom had once caused a big problem for himself, celebrating his birthday with those ladies, then my buddy Ron Jeremy found Dennis dead, in bed with a working gIRL from the Love Ranch.
Dennis had just won a nomination to be a Nevada State Assemblyman, and after his death he still won the election. That’s how much we all loved him in Nevada.
Algorithmic censorship and SESTA/FOSTA began to erode freedom of speech just when working gIRLs needed income desperately. That’s why I’m on NOSTER Primal now.
COVID19 shut the Cathouses down March 2020 - June 2021 and I lost my company housing when new ownership sold it and locked us out of work over the winter. I shot Jackrabbits in the snow to stay alive. That was a dark time.
I survived it offgrid in Nevada ghost towns, thanks to the portable military stoves my family members taught me to build by hand when I was a kid in Japan. That stove heats my hut, has a hydronic shower tank, boils coffee and eggs, steams hotdogs, fries bacon and bakes bread. It burns any solid, liquid or gaseous fuel to pure CO2 - even roadapples. And it generates electricity from heat.
When the Brothels finally reopened my nightly television broadcasts weren’t restarted. The new management wasn’t kindly like Dennis was, and I eventually went to work for Lance Gilman’s World Famous Mustang Ranch, which doesn’t broadcast or even advertise at-all.
The Nevada tourist economy hasn’t recovered yet.
Maybe it never will.
But I get by.
