Corkboards.me 0.8.0 1st Stable Release
Corkboards.me 0.8.0 :cb-pepedance:
Remember thumbtack corkboards?
Build your own shared digital corkboards at corkboards.me!
Your corkboards are where you customize your lists and social feeds, then decide how many columns you want them to fill.
No more forced algorithms.
No one but you gets to decide what notes you get to see, and in what order.
Combine notes however you wish – groups of friends and follows, hashtags or even rss for news, video, or podcast feeds!
Your personal dashboard will hold as many private corkboards as you’d like to build.
Then, every time you open corkboards.me on your computer, tablet, or phone, new notes get loaded automatically into columns – like notecards on a fresh corkboard!
Read your corkboards like real bulletin boards — minimize or dismiss notecards to make more room when you’ve already read them, or save them aside to read later.
Filter the notes on each corkboard in various ways with the easy note-kind toggles, the mute-by-keyword feature, and more.
The only thing left to decide is how many notes you want to read each day :D
Default corkboards get you started:
The ‘Me’ corkboard has all the notes that you’ve posted, with your pinned notes at the top.
The ‘Follows’ corkboard shows all your friends/follows at once.
The ‘Discovery’ corkboard shows friends of friends.
The ‘Notifications’ corkboard shows all replies and reactions to your notes.
The ‘Saved’ corkboard shows all the notes you’ve saved for future reference.
There’s so much more you can do:
- Build a newspaper or magazine from trusted or interesting sources.
- Create a group feed of associates and hashtags that post about a common topic or project
- Make arbitrary aggregates, like lists.
- Easily view a portfolio of a friend, or your own without logging into your artist account.
- Combine feeds from musicians, video feeds, or podcasts so you have an always fresh playlist.
- Customize what others see when they land on your ‘Me’ corkboard. Need a portfolio or business landing? Want to feature your favorite notes, your friends, your favorite books, articles, songs, videos, podcasts, memes, photos… or….
