REZN Embrace the Dream World | Public Record
From post-rock to free jazz, Chicago has a history of producing dynamic and adventurous music—and the kind of bands that don’t easily fit into genre-specific boxes. One such band is REZN, who’ve announced their new album, Cycles in the Infinite Dream, out July 24 via Sargent House. While REZN has long blended doom, stoner rock, and psychedelia, the new album finds them exploring new territory nonetheless, adding lap steel to the band’s chugging riffs and leaning into expansive, dream-inspired textures that expand their heavy sound with touches of country and western ambiance.
In addition to the new album, REZN is heading out on tour through June and into July, performing in Europe with like minded artists All Them Witches, Edler, and Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats.
While the line between a dream and a nightmare can be razor thin, REZN manage to create a space that suggests the liminal possibilities of the dream world. Cycles in the Infinite Dream is available now from our sponsors, Hello Merch.
