Escape the Matrix with Natural Springs
Part I: Zapped a Wine-Maker ⚡🧀🍯
Recently I visited Turkovich Tasting Room on route to a nature retreat. This is a Californian family-owned winery that accepts Bitcoin and sometimes hosts events for Bitcoiners. 🍷🍾🥂
The tasting-room shop offers artisan cheeses, honey, charcuterie, local olive oil, etc.
I have been to the winery & the tasting room a few times before. One time, the staff had no idea what to do and had no one to ask for help, so I left without buying anything. 🤦♀️
This time was different:
- I entered the shop, walked straight to the cashier, and asked: “can I buy some things with Bitcoin?” The cashier fiddled around with the payment terminal, unsure where to click, and replied: “shop around and I’ll figure it out.”
- I then saw a bartender come up, she clicked thru the terminal herself, while demonstrating the steps to the first cashier. The transaction went thru instantly. I got a slice of artisan cheese and local honey to enjoy during my nature retreat!🍯🧀
This merchant uses a 3rd party LN wallet (Speed Wallet) for payments. The shop offers a 10% discount when paying in Bitcoin. All-in-all, a success story.
So the lesson here is - be consistent, keep using Bitcoin and asking to pay in Bitcoin, whether it’s “bear” or “bull” market. The builders of the parallel economy cannot build without our sats, so if you do not use Bitcoin, there will be nowhere for you to live on Bitcoin, and really, nowhere for you to eat or drink well, since a fiat-standard food becomes more toxic & unfit for human consumption over time.
P.S. The bartender also noticed my Earth Runners shoes and related some of her foot issues, for which she is trying wider shoes & massage roller.

Part II: Harbin Springs Resort
Chillaxing at a hot springs resort, feeling the city matrix slowly leaving my body… there are a few hundred sheep grazing around, in an attempt to thwart the seasonal fires 🔥
The place has high spiritual energy, no wonder it has been attacked by “wild fires” twice, yet the people keep coming back and building strong 💪👑⚒️
The water here is excellent - natural spring water is filtered and ozonated in all of the pools and amenities. There are super hot 🥵 & super cold 🥶 pools, a sauna, and sound-healing events hosted daily.
Last but not least, it is a place free of cameras & electronics… because it’s a nudist resort. Come to think of it, all serious Bitcoiners should consider living in or forming their own nudist colonies for better privacy, health, and longevity 👑💯
Permanerd’s freeze-dried pineapple chunks helped allay the feeling of existential dread of having to returning to society 🎡 eventually…
