§Writing Is More Than Just Words

Many new BCHNostr users jump straight into writing.

They type everything into one long paragraph, hit Publish, and call it a day.

There’s nothing wrong with that…

But readers naturally enjoy articles that are organized. A well-formatted article guides the eyes, highlights important ideas, and keeps readers interested from beginning to end.

Think of formatting as the road signs of your article. Without them, readers may still reach the destination, but the journey becomes much harder.

§Start With a Great Cover Image

The very first thing readers notice is your cover image.

A relevant and attractive image immediately tells readers what your article is about. It also makes reposts and previews look much more professional.

Choose an image that represents your topic rather than simply decorating the page.

A strong first impression often determines whether someone decides to continue reading.

§Write an Article Title That Sparks Curiosity

Your title is your invitation.

Instead of writing something generic like:

Try something more interesting:

A good title tells readers exactly what they’ll learn while making them curious enough to keep reading.

§Don’t Skip the Brief Summary

Right below the title is one of the most overlooked fields:

Brief Summary

Many users leave it blank.

That’s a missed opportunity.

This summary appears in article previews and is often the first description readers see when articles are shared or reposted.

Imagine it as the movie trailer for your article.

In just a few sentences, answer:

• What is this article about?
• Why should someone read it?
• What will they learn?

A compelling summary encourages more people to open the full article.

§Organize Your Thoughts With Headers

Headers divide your article into logical sections.

Instead of presenting one giant block of text, readers can quickly scan and jump to the parts that interest them.
