Ebola Outbreak Over in Uganda, but Cases Continue to Rise in Congo, Says WHO
The director of emergency preparedness said this was the third Bundibugyo variant outbreak in Africa, after previous outbreaks in Uganda in 2007 and Congo in 2012.
The World Health Organization announced that the Ebola outbreak in Uganda has concluded. However, in Congo, the number of cases is still increasing, with transmission remaining very active. The outbreak in Congo has resulted in 5,656 confirmed cases and 2,715 deaths.
