EU Designates Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as Terrorist Organization The European Union has officially designated Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. This decision was announced by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas following a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Brussels. Alongside this designation, the EU has also approved new sanctions targeting 15 Iranian individuals and six entities deemed responsible for serious human rights violations in Iran.
