ICE Agents to be Present at Winter Olympics in Milan, Organizer Confirms U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will participate in security arrangements for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Giovanni Malago, president of the organizing committee, clarified that ICE agents will be present for high-ranking U.S. government officials and will not be involved in the Games’ security aspects. ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) will support the US Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service and host nation in vetting and mitigating risks from transnational criminal organizations.
