US Delegation Attends Russia’s ‘Davos’; Putin Aide Says Washington–Moscow Dialogue Intensifying For the first time in eight years, a United States delegation is participating in Russia’s St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), often dubbed Russia’s equivalent to the Davos forum. This marks a significant return since major Western investors withdrew following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The American delegation is led by Rodney Mims Cook Jr., head of the Federal Commission of Fine Arts, and their attendance was announced by Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov.
