Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Announces Closure of Research Operations, Job Cuts Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is closing seven research operations as part of the federal government’s public service reduction efforts. Research centres in Guelph, Quebec City, and Lacombe, along with four satellite farms, will be closed. Approximately 665 positions have been reduced, with nearly 1,050 employees receiving notices.
