New Jersey Governor: Outside Agitators Are Fueling ICE Protest Violence New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill stated that individuals from outside the state are interfering with and escalating protests at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Newark. She reported that five of the six individuals arrested by state police were not from New Jersey. These individuals engaged in aggressive and dangerous actions against law enforcement.
