Librería de Satoshi is now ISMOS
From the largest technical education organization focused on teaching Bitcoin to Spanish-speaking individuals, Librería de Satoshi is evolving into a global, full developer pipeline that aims to bootstrap careers in the freedom tech and open-source as ecosystem.

Librería de Satoshi is evolving. This October 28th, the technical education non-profit officially rebranded as ISMOS. The goal is to expand their presence globally, beyond the Spanish speaking world, with a particular focus on Latin America and Africa.
Librería de Satoshi started in 2021 as a Spanish-language Telegram group. The goal was to make Bitcoin technical knowledge accessible to everyone. In the five years since, Librería has evolved into a full developer pipeline, having helped more than 3.5k students from over 40 countries level themselves up in the technical fundamentals of Bitcoin. Education was just the first step, however. In the same time, they have funded full-time grants for 30+ developers to work on Bitcoin and open-source software.
Beyond the online classes and grants, ISMOS’s crown jewel is the Bitcoin For Open Source (B4OS) technical training curriculum. The in-depth program offers specialized learning paths, expert mentorship, residencies and fellowships for students to build a portfolio and find their place working on Bitcoin and open-source.
With the new name, ISMOS is setting its sights on the world beyond the Spanish-speaking. They’re expanding their presence, with the end-goal being a broader reach, across more countries. The ISMOS rebranding comes with a new online learning platform, where anyone can go from the basics to mastery of open source protocols such as Bitcoin, Lightning, and AI. Courses are available in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, with more languages in the pipeline.
“Talent is universal; opportunity is not,” says Dulce Villareal — Founder and CEO of ISMOS. Developers all around the globe deserve the same opportunities as someone living the United States. ISMOS is determined to level the playing field for everyone.
