WoT maximalist Working on Kubo.watch and WoTFoundation
This is one of the greatest strengths of Trusted Assertions: it is designed to make life maximally easy for the developer. If Client A wants a particular trust metric for Alice, as calculated by the logged-in user's web of trust, all the client has to do is fetch the corresponding kind 30382 note. Through integration of Trusted Assertions (TAs), a client developer can effectively integrate in one fell swoop with each and every service provider who exports metrics as TAs. This is simpler to implement than a DVM, there is no cost to the client, no need to navigate a new custom API for each service provider, and no need to worry about what to do if or when any given service provider's server goes down. Furthermore, TAs empower not the client, but the end user with the ability to select which service provider to use for any given trust metric: each selection is encoded in the end user's kind 10040 note, which can be updated by the end user at any point in time, and which can be encrypted to preserve privacy as desired.
[1] This prototype of a Brainstorm instance shows that the set of all known pubkeys that I follow, plus the ones they follow, plus the ones they follow, ad infinitum until there are no more known pubkeys to add, yields less than 300 thousand pubkeys, with the highest degree of separation by follows being 10 hops away.

Nostr will benefit greatly from the cultivation of a healthy marketplace for third party personalized trust metric Service Providers. Trusted Assertions (kind 30382) and Declarations of Trusted Service Providers (kind 10040) are now created and published by Brainstorm instances and available to developers. Our next step should be to integrate NIP-85 standardized metrics, rank and followers, into at least a handful of clients. Once a demand for these services is demonstrated, it should inspire the creation of more third party personalized trust service providers with NIP-85 support. More such service providers will, in turn, stimulate the incorporation of personalized trust metrics into more clients in a positive feedback loop. The fact that third party trust metric service providers should be readily monetizable (using the subscription model of nostr.build or the hosting model of Relay Tools as two possible options) provides a strong argument that NIP-85 integration provides a fruitful avenue for bringing a more sophisticated web of trust ecosystem to nostr.

There seemed to be little of interesting topics to follow or stick around for. The experience of joining nostr doesn't feel special or different in any way opposed to X for example. Twitter has interesting accounts, TikTok has interesting videos, what does Nostr have? The lack of "popular" conent due to the generally low number of users is probably to blame. In a way we suffer from the chicken / egg problem where new users are needed to generate more content, and more content is needed to retain new users. Going forward, I think clients should think about ways to encourage users to share content (whether that be their own, or posted from other platforms). Nostr also does not seem to have any external growth loops. For example, there is no way to invite people to the platform by email with a single click (by accessing the address book). Even if a friend does manage to join and you can find them, they are in no way notified when tagged (as far as I know). People have to have a habit of opening the app to know if something is happening. The habit formation of using a new app is important in the early usage phase and nostr seems to have a weak spot here.

My main takeaway was that among all apps (including Twitter and Instagram), the traditional apps win simply by having much better content selection. You get to see a variety of interesting things that Nostr simply can’t match. Going forward, this is an area I would probably recommend focusing on - how to engage people to post more interesting content, onboard creators etc… Nostr is lacking in content and I believe this could be the primary reason people are not sticking around after trying it.

At first thought I'd say product/service inventions only made possible by the nostr protocol. I feel like the functions of the protocol invite it to be build into a system for political voting which needs to be uncensorable and distrubuted to counter corruption. It will need appropriate user validation. But as I'm not a programmer I can't say or understand for sure.
