23 years since the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić

In Serbia, today will be marked by commemorative gatherings observing the 23rd anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister and former Democratic Party (DS) leader Zoran Đinđić in an attack in the courtyard of the Government building in central Belgrade. The state ceremony of paying respects will begin at 10:30 AM in the courtyard of the Serbian Government in Belgrade, where Prime Minister Đuro Macut, along with ministers, will lay wreaths at the site where Đinđić was killed by sniper fire on March 12, 2003.

Sa jedne strane, ona predstavlja stub nacionalnog identiteta jer se prema podacima popisa stanovništva iz 2022, oko 81% građana Srbije izjašnjava kao pravoslavno, dok se u svakodnevnom diskursu „Srbin“ neretko poistovećuje sa „pravoslavcem".

Žujović on participating in local elections: We will definitely not cooperate with SNS, but with the opposition

Serbian Liberals, a group of citizens led by Dr. Dejan Žujović, are currently candidates in five cities and municipalities where local elections will be held on March 29, and will most likely be on the electoral lists in all 10 places. While the question arises where Žujović got people in all these local self-governments and how he managed to collect signatures to submit the list, he claims in an interview for Nova that everything was done according to the law, that there are video recordings, and that after the elections they will not form coalitions with SNS, but with the opposition and students.
