But it is not enough. Not nearly enough. We have built communication rails and money rails. We have not built the society that runs on them. The gap between what exists and what a parallel economy requires remains vast. Closing that gap demands something the movement has always been short on: builders.

Every open relay has a cold start dilemma.

What makes this approach interesting is how it rewards organic participation. When a newcomer starts publishing and interacting with others, they begin to form connections in the social graph. As those connections grow and the pubkey becomes part of more relationships, the rank naturally rises through network effects. There's no manual approval process or gatekeeper—just the emergent result of participation.

In Nostr, there is no global reputation scoreboard that everyone agrees on. Any meaningful ranking has to be contextual: computed from some perspective, using some signals, with some trade-offs.

You claim ultimate control of our property and our decisions, of our travels and even our identities. You claim ownership of humanity far beyond the dreams of any Emperor of any previous era. Understand clearly: We reject your authority and we reject your legitimacy. We do not believe that you have any right to do the things you do. You have massive power, but no right to impose it upon us and no legitimacy. We have forsaken you. We are no longer your citizens or your subjects. Your systems are inherently anti-human, even if all their operators are not. We are not merely angry young people.

At some point, working within a system becomes cowardly and immoral; for us, that point has arrived. Regardless of the parties in power, their governments have continued to restrict, restrain and punish us. We hereby reject them all. We hereby withdraw from them all. We hold the ruling states of this world and all that appertains to them to be self-serving and opposed to humanity. We now withdraw our obedience and reclaim the right to strike back when struck.

Not sure i understand right but bitcoin core dev team dont want anyone make new layers over bitcoin blockchain? The problem isn't new layers, it's forcing things on people against their will. New layers can be done on an opt-in basis, without polluting the blockchain and forcing non-participants to store the data.

The rise of protocols like Nostr represents a movement away from centralized control of publishing and data storage towards a more distributed, user-controlled approach. This decentralization not only enhances privacy and security but also promotes freedom of expression and information sharing, aligning with the early ideals of an open and free internet.

But once it has been made clear that the state (as we know it today) is based on coercion and violence, and that the Great Reset is ultimately only a concrete manifestation of escalating state tyranny, no enlightened person can give their consent to this development; rather, they are urged to stop and reverse it – with the help of sound economics and, by no means less important, a new enlightenment.

Ludwig von Mises formulated this impressively: “Only ideas can overcome ideas and it is only the ideas of Capitalism and of Liberalism that can overcome Socialism. Only by a battle of ideas can a decision be reached.[4] … “Human society is an issue of the mind. Social co-operation must first be conceived, then willed, then realized in action. lt is ideas that make history, not the ‘material productive forces, those nebulous and mystical schemata of the materialist conception of history.”[5]

Here are just a few of the consequences of the central bank digital currency issue: (1) Digital central bank money displaces cash. Consumers and producers thus completely lose their financial privacy and become transparent. (2) Once digital central bank money has become sufficiently widespread, the central bank can literally increase the money supply in the economy at the push of a button. The possibility of abuse with inflation, which is put into the hands of states and their central banks, is virtually maximised. (3) The allocation of central bank digital currency is based on the principle of arbitrariness: The central bank decides who gets how much money and when – and who gets none. Some are favoured by the policy, others are disadvantaged. With digital central bank money, the overthrow of income and wealth relationships can be achieved more easily than ever using monetary means. (4) Central bank digital currency can be combined with a social credit score, as in China. Behaviour that conforms to the system is favoured, while criticism of or even resistance to the system is punished. For example, payment options with CBDC are restricted if a politically prescribed maximum amount of meat is consumed, maximum travel distances are exceeded, or politically undesirable books are purchased.

The Great Reset not only has Marxist-socialist-communist but also unmistakably fascist elements. Quite obvious, for example, is the harnessing of corporations to achieve political goals (for example, the CO2 reduction or food conversion – away from meat consumption to artificial food, including insects).

Let us take a closer look at the most important building blocks that make up the Great Reset. #1: “Stakeholder capitalism”. This means that the owners of companies should no longer serve only their own interests but, above all, the interests of third parties. #2: “Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance” (“ESG”): Capital investors are urged to invest in companies that bear the ESG label – and a good ESG label is awarded only to those companies that adhere to politically prescribed criteria. #3: “Wokeism”: This is the psychological notion of creating conflicts between people, of destroying the peaceful cohesion of people, of instilling guilt and inferiority complexes in people; for example, that they are only doing well because others are doing badly in return; that it is good and right to desire less. #4: “Climate catastrophism”: According to this theory, the earth and its inhabitants will die if capitalism is not abolished. States must be put in the driving seat – and restrain, rein in, and suspend the system of free markets, constrain, even end, individual freedom. #5: “Transhumanism”: The idea of expanding the possibilities of human beings through modern technologies, more precisely: “hacking” what constitutes being human, computerising their spiritual being. #6: “Fourth Industrial Revolution” (“4-IR”): The technologically driven and politically promoted upheaval of production and society through new technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Genetics), Machine-to-machine Communication, Smart Contracts, Internet of Things, Internet of Bodies, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR), the Metaverse – and especially the introduction of “Digital Central Bank Currency” – I’ll get to that in a moment. #7: Lockdowns: The shutdown of economic and social activity is also part of the Great Reseters’ toolbox to achieve their goals. #8: Private-public-partnership: The state joins forces with (big) companies to achieve certain goals (as far as, say, climate, health, money and credit are concerned); or big companies (big business, big tech, big pharma, big banking) use the state for their purposes, state and big companies enter into a symbiosis.

Behind political globalism lies the view that the fate of humanity should not be left to free markets but should be shaped and controlled by an authority, a central political body. Whether economic and financial crises, climate, terrorism, or epidemics. According to the political globalists, the community of states, ideally a world government that wields all the power it desires, should fix things.

My conclusion will be that the Great Reset builds on ideological communist-socialist and fascist ideas, which, if implemented, would destroy the freedom and prosperity and presumably even the lives of the great majority of the people of the planet.

It would have been so very, very easy to prevent this horrific war. Off-ramp after off-ramp after off-ramp was passed to get us to where we’re at now. Chance after chance after chance to avoid all this pointless death and misery was passed up, both before 2014 and every year since. The US-centralized power structure knowingly chose this war, and it did so to advance its own interests. If people really, deeply understood this, the entire western empire would collapse.

In reality Stoltenberg is just stating a well-established fact: contrary to the official western narrative, Putin invaded Ukraine not because he is evil and hates freedom but because no great power ever allows foreign military threats to amass on its borders — including the United States. That’s why so many western analysts and officials spent years warning that NATO’s actions were going to provoke a war, and yet when war broke out we were slammed with a tsunami of mass media propaganda repeating over and over and over again that this was an “unprovoked invasion”.

Frictionless transition through all use cases: it's all just one npub! Porting your social graph: there is no porting; your social graph already transcends whatever nostr clients you use. Reconnecting your payment methods: well, we have bitcoin, and wallet connect, and lightning!

Nostr has a funny design that makes for some very creative implementations.

The simplest open protocol that is able to create a censorship-resistant global "social" network once and for all.
