Review of Hello World (anime)
No spoiler review of the anime Hello World.
This matrix knockoff is somewhat decent. It has the same issue as all anime movies: it’s too rushed. Like any anime movie, it would be better off as a 12ep single season. The timing is slightly rushed and more detail would be nice.
That being said, it’s an unexpectedly good premise, which is usually better than having good execution on a bad premise. The characters could use more depth but that’s not really possible with the runtime. Its a sci-fi, which means its not exactly scientifically sound, but the system’s internal logic makes sense.
