A debate. Bitcoin remembers everything forever. This article explores an alternative, a digital monetary system that preserves consensus and security while allowing old transaction history to expire. Through Rolling Consensus, the network replaces historical data with cryptographically verified snapshots of current ownership. The goal is simple. Secure the money, preserve decentralization, and let time erase the tracks. Should digital money remain an eternal accounting system, or evolve into digital cash where only the present moment matters?
