Operation Kidstr 03: Introducing TEPP - Trust Extended Permissions Protocol

This article introduces TEPP (Trust Extended Permissions Protocol), a proposed system for Nostr designed to create secure, "permissioned environments" within an open, permissionless network. While the system is general enough for use cases like managing bots, the primary focus is child safety. TEPP allows "guardians" (parents) to construct explicit whitelists of people, relays, and events that a "subject" (child) can view or interact with. The system solves the problem of scaling moderation through Trust Extensions, which allow guardians to automatically extend permissions to the social circles of already-trusted entities (e.g., allowing a child to interact with "friends of friends" or trusted school networks).

On Identity, Keys, and Key rotation.

In this article I argue that identity is rooted in expression and relationships rather than cryptographic keys, and propose leveraging webs of trust and Musig-based associations to enable resilient identity continuity and key rotation.
