Immersed in Bitcoin and real-world asset tokenization since 2014, Hudhaifah (Kode) has spent over a decade operating at the intersection of sound money, software, and real-world finance.

With a foundation in computer science and philosophy, he has led end-to-end execution across technology, regulation, accounting, and operations—most notably structuring and tokenizing over $2M in vehicle leases.

His experience spans building risk-scoring algorithms in blockchain intelligence, developing tokenized infrastructure for real-world use cases, and operating full-stack financial systems where theory meets constraint. These years sharpened his ability to design resilient financial primitives, navigate regulatory reality, and ship systems that work outside the lab.

Today, Hudhaifah is focused on one question: how do we make the benefits of sound money accessible in everyday life? Through entrepreneurship and system design, he works on translating Bitcoin’s principles into practical, real-world financial structures—bridging traditional assets with programmable trust.

Outside of work, he draws perspective from travel, long walks, and time spent thinking deeply about systems—financial, philosophical, and human—that shape how value moves through the world.

What Alternative Financial System?

This is a pointed discussion directed at thinkers and builders in Islamic finance that are starting to see the reality of fractional reserve banking and wondering if it should be justified or actually addressed. Fasset, Ummah, Goldsand, TakaDAO, Bank Negara Malaysia, hope it reaches your desks. The claims must address the rot, because a new benchmark, name, or just doing wakala at scale isn't going to cut it. I hope to follow up with real alternatives and perhaps the dollar system needs to be engaged with, but it's incomplete without an off-ramp.

The State of Bitcoin Development

As Bitcoin adoption grows through treasury companies and ETFs, self-custody is increasingly critical to mitigate risks from crime and policy changes, while the network’s limited scripting—two core functions (hashed timelocks, multi-signatures) and three states (UTXO, OP_RETURN, SIGHASH)—forms the foundation for custody, escrow, swaps, Lightning channels, and sidechains. Data consensus exists only for Bitcoin itself, making off-chain interpretation necessary for SIGHASH, where larger non-Bitcoin assets like stablecoins or art often reside—seen by some as corruption and others as a trustless alternative to custodial systems. Programmatic use relies on HTLCs and DLCs (with oracles), while multisig evolves via MPC, and covenant upgrades could boost security without adding Turing-completeness. Innovation continues in meta-protocols and L2s, with notable projects like Alkanes, RadFi’s Trading Wallet, and Arch’s decentralized oracle compute network advancing Bitcoin’s role as modern sound money.
